RE: What's your exit price?18 Apr 2026 07:53
@Ginandmilk
Understand the sentiment behind your query, it is only natural to seek validation for one's decisions. However, I don't think you can get a meaningful answer as every investor's circumstances are different.
Some will be day/short-term traders, they will want their 10-20% profit and be off moving on to the next.
Some will be playing short trades, they will want you to exit early so they can get out.
Some will be sufficiently solvent that they can hold this for a very long time and have high exit targets (me)
Some will want the cash for a specific purpose, the value they exit at will be unique to their needs (you)
My perspective for what it is worth - I originally thought £3.40 was a good entry point to buy into a green technology company supporting the production of green hydrogen for beneficial purposes. I saw a fair value of £5 at the time. Since then, this company was morphing into a gas company with hydropulse, that was a 2 to 3-fold increase in potential and now has just transformed into a defense industry stock with a whole of NATO prospect. If that emerges the potential value is at least 10 fold what I originally paid with the current geo-political uncertainty.
A technology order (Uniper or APAC) will drive an uptick
A gas order (hydropulse) will confirm the company type shift (from shovel to product) with recurring revenue another uptick
A NATO/Rheinmetall contract - will confirm the sector shift to defense.
My advice, fwiw, decide what value you need to achieve and stick to it and exit at that point, satisfied you have achieved your goal. Getting greedy risks losing your goal.
