@ginandmilk, absolutely. We are at the start of a 70s inflation double spike - it is baked in now with the fuel rises on top of two massive tax & spend budgets. No stopping it. Batten down the personal hatches but the industrial shift to hydrogen a way out of the mess.

@Artgasm - Paradigm shifts are normally only recognised in retrospect - we have the rare luxury of witnessing one in real-time.

The US actions have changed Europe's perceptions on Energy and Food supply chain security. Once core beliefs have been rocked, they don't re-impose themselves.

IKFA - If I understand correctly, the story is that Goldfinger is a truck driver, novice investor, who made some more speculative early investments and is chasing losses (should see GambleAware) and hoping to make it back using the ITM share rise.

However, I recommend reviewing posting history especially earlier comments (the one about Bilbo being an "old man" stuck out for me) and drawing your own conclusions. I am willing to give anyone the benefit of the doubt but...

Stock Markets been on a bull run for the last couple of years, prior to that my ETFs were just could for managing to maintain my capital and yield a bit of income for about 3 years. If the right ones were picked, individual shares could have beaten the ETFs. I had some ULVR and LLOY that I had to sit on for 3 years to get back to profit (I dislike selling at a loss, I'll just hold), when they got back to profit I sold and moved the funds to ITM. Since I sold the LLOY they have almost doubled, c'est la vie, but ITM has eclipsed that so turned out good in the end.

Investing for high returns is gambling, AIM more than anything - never invest more than can be affordably lost
