Another week and into the 80's. If this doesn't hold it may be into the 70's before budget day. The labour government are destroying the market with the constant drip feeding of possible actions for the Autumn Budget. This has caused uncertainty for over over 3 months and is causing companies both large and small to make knee jerk reactions regarding future investment, or lack of it.

Share price holding up nicely this week above 90. The only fly in the ointment I can see is the budget on the 30th. If Reeves increases employers national insurance contributions, this will be another minimum wage moment for card and 70 is possible. Hopefully it doesn't materialise but keep some cash on the side lines.

All of a sudden there are dozens of players getting in on the SMR play. This is nuclear and will be tied up in regulatory red tape regarding H&S. Only a handful of companies have a proven track record in engineering, and single digits in nuclear. A tech start up will be doing a multi billion dollar capital raise, then run out of cash after failing to get over the regulatory hurdles. The founders won’t care as they will be multi- millionaires. Rolls Royce are experts and trusted, as long as they aren’t late to the party, contract wise.

The highly anticipated budget on 30th will be a catalyst to either remain in the 130-150 range or heading up to 200-250. A hit on capital gains tax or pension (PCLS) withdrawals may in fact be beneficial to SAGA with the middle classes liquidating some assets to go on a spend fest (cruises) or reinvest in other SAGA products. A bad budget may be a positive outcome.

Vistry Group seem to have made the same miscalculation as Card. Different sector but the same principles on incompetent senior management. How many other companies are hiding their oversight. When they come clean the share price is hammered to levels not seen since the 2008 banking crisis and 2020 covid panic.

This is well overdone, however, my 90 first then 80 next limit buys might have to be amended.

I also set my sights on 90 when dropping past 110. However, I may now set 50% at 90 and 50% at 80. Its a mad world. The 32% drop from 143 to 97 is staggering compared to other darlings of the stock market. Unfortunately, its no news now until the Christmas trading statement. Lets pray for a dry Autumn/Winter.

AML punished in a similar way to Card last week, however, their RNS was catastrophic and ours was a minor tweak of forward guidance. The markets are punishing any mediocrity at the moment with some heavy drops, some deserved, others an over reaction like Card.

Stroll will drive the AML share price into the ground then take full control as its biggest creditor. The writing is on the wall. The automotive industry is a dangerous place to invest at present. Electric washing is stalling the industry.

The city and its young traders love a loss making AI based company that never turns a profit. 30% drop in one week is akin to a rights issue. 80-90 is my top up range then out at 120 which should equate to my 150 target I was oh so close to at the start of the week. Thoughts of 200+ are dead in the water this decade.

The board should be shutting stores and aggressively rolling out the online presence with a full on pre Christmas advertising campaign. As regards ALDI, the current displays are a token gesture, poorly positioned in store and never tidied during the day. However, a profit is a profit and that should help the share price hold circa 100.

A few careless phrases by the BOD and 21% wiped out. Circa £100m. Those with stop losses may have been the lucky ones. Frankly, for me the top up price is sub 100, even sub 80, although I hope for a plus 120 close by weeks end. How can a business strategy change so dramatically in one day. Similar to Labour chopping the winter fuel payment and not reading the room regarding donations. Not rocket science but so much incompetency at the top end, everywhere. Online is where its at. I know it, you know it, but somehow they don't. Rant over !

No magic bounce here. Plenty of investors who buy the biggest dropping share of the day, this may help stabilise the price at open tomorrow. If card are struggling with the increase in the national minimum wage then most of the related high street stocks will be heading in the same direction. Online is where the growth is and that's where they need to be concentrating on. Insulated against weather and rising rents.

With October budget and US election dominating the next two months, a trading range of 125-150 is likely. Cannot see any rise higher until the Xmas trading update. I’ll be happy at 125 as a Friday close. Real inflation is far higher than reported by the ONS and BOE. Back to 150 and I’m out.

Staying in St Ives for a few days. Rammed with tourist from all over the country and Europe with varying finance levels. Pasty shops, cafés and bars packed to the rafters, Superdry, empty morning noon and afternoon. Doomed.
