This way they are best prepared to maintain healthy bank statements. By doing a raise well in advance, will catch investors snoozing that are not expecting it. If the company runs finances low, investors are much more able to calculate that a placing is imminent thus telling every savvy investor that a placing is coming. They then sell out avoiding the inevitable drop..?

No one that i know EVER considers this obvious FACT. Investors are not daft when they figure this out?

Yes i am in YFO with quite a big holding Topped up yesterday after the placing.. . should be a clear run now for a year.

In a quirky kind of way this placing did me a favour. I was hanging on to a couple of stocks for too long with no movement in months but i still had hopes of a recovery and would dump them. Yesterday i did and got rid of some loose baggage that is best served elsewhere. So it gave me a lovely 5 grand top up and still have an overall average below 7.7p

...i asked if there were any problems due to Icon being delisted. They said it looks like relisting is on the cards as they would not have given them instructions to register the proxies. They are waiting on further instructions.
So looks good to me!

I fancy a bidding between all the msjors in Pilbarra and FORTESCUE. Would be interesting ad Foftescue jumped in and secured 42 licence tenements before RIO even got a look in. At the ttime in 2016 Rio were openly annoyed to learn that Fortescue 'paid' to view the new licence plots before they were released for public offer.
Rio or others that were caught napping might just sneak in with a 'deal' to get one up over Fortescue's crafty land grab!
An even better scrnario would fortesue JVs Hanc0ck and Rio bides their time to purchase al our iron projects in the future ?
Seeing as they now have a man on board this could make them try to outwit Fortescue ?
I see things moving very fast with a Jv similar to Newcrest/ GGP......but who will make the first move. Our shares will rocket on the first hints....big noses are already sniffing. Imo?

Stop griping over the placing. It was inevitable and rest assured the next one late next year will be at a much higher price. At the placing is now behind us, now we can concentrate on the next 9 to 12 months with a clear run and a multibag potential before the end of 2022.

Shares in issue will not consolidate until we are trading at 25p upwards ...and only if they want to impress the big institutions

Many investors hold off until a placing drops. They seem to time it to invest just after the placing. At least we know funding is behind us. Let the dust settles as it always does. And we will make steady gaind from here. Hopefully the next fund raise will be at well over 4p+

I believe Fortescue is after our iron ore deposits and will secure a deal before others get sniffing. Fortescue are quick to act and won't be caught napping as they proved before by getting land parcels before anyone else knew about them?
