SMITHYY - I think you make a good point. I am all in on AIM stocks currently but there is a lot of red every single day. MM's need to bear in mind they may be killing the goose that lays the golden egg though. If PI's start to give up they will be left looking at empty trading screens each day.

KNIGELK - fair comments IMO. I feel there is a game of cat and mouse being played and this one is particularly nice to astute traders at present. 2.5p is bottom of the trading range and it gets sold off at 3.5p on no news.

Works both ways though doesn't it? Not much selling pressure and it drops quickly as well.

pablo - I know what you mean mate. While FTSE stocks reach new highs and enjoy a bull run things are brutal down here. You are running just to stand still. Any rises are sold into. Bad news is punished severely. Good news is ignored or discounted.

Just noticed this well is missing from the latest operational update. The following was stated in the RNS dated 8th Feb: "Arbuzovskoye well 112 has been successfully tested at an initial rate of 140 bopd with no visible water cut. The well is currently shut-in for long term pressure build up testing before it is put into long-term production." So, assume 112 well is still not operational and not included in production figures (it says this in RNS 8.2.2013) and we will receive update once pressure build up complete and the well is up and running which would bring us up to the 3,000 bopd level.

What a miserably muted reaction by 'Mr Market'. Seems he needs a lot more good news than this to be convinced of a genuine PTR recovery.

Good news all round. Production back to approaching 3,000 bopd. Things definitely looking up.

Given that the UK have taken a very positive lead on Shale Gas now in the recent announcements and given that the Irish are even more skint than we are you'd have to think they would be utterly bonkers not to encourage Shale exploration in their own patch. Let's hope so. It could finally be the thing that fires this into orbit.

For an 11% rise in the SP this morning. Enegi has issued a few RNS's during the day before. I reckon an RNS has been logged and will be issued later today.

reg - we are due news on efforts to restart production from Garden Hill Field in Newfoundland. I wonder what the reason is for the rise this morning? Must be more than just slightly improved market sentiment.

elite - In my opinion a very good and fair blog. One or two slight inaccuracies that were pointed out in the comments but all in all an excellent appraisal of the company. I do agree that it is a long term play and long term is my strategy here.

This one continues to creep up under the radar of most investors. It's a hidden gem. Synety is a very young company 'born' only last September. Synety's cloud-based software and communications technology is a first mover. It has products such as Cloud Call which is an integrated cloud based communications system. Synety are busily integrating their Cloud Call (first mover) product with mega CRM sellers such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Results due Tuesday week (26th). I'm expecting a further rise in advance of the results.

Noticed a trend of quite big purchases coming in over past few days, only a few, but a huge 750,000 buy just gone through at full ask. Follow the big money.

Are Macquarie Bank and Arawak Energy. The placing last year produced an adjusted debt repayment plan for Macquarie which should, (I would assume provided cashflow from production is sufficient) repay the loan in full by May 2014. The production covenants were removed in the new deal so no issue there anymore. Macquarie took an equity stake in PTR as part of the deal so they have a vested interest in PTR's success. I would say it's not without risk but given cashflow is being generated from production and should grow from here provided the debt repayment plan is successful in a years time this is genuine multibag from here.

Yes sadly it appears you've sold out, possibly at the bottom, we'll see but £28m MC for a company producing over 2000 bopd? It's now at less than half the book value. Yes there are substantial debts and it remains to been how those will be tackled but they have a decent sized asset in the ground. Could be a T/O target in coming months if they don't get a farm in but can't see it just going bust with those assets.

As well as a run of sizeable buys gone through since late morning. Every time I say it, it's the kiss of death but could there be news on the way? We are due those big milestone payments.

Which has triggered a tick up. But will it be sustained? I so hope Bill is right....
