Is very misleading. I can dummy sell a large amount for 1.2451 and can buy for 1.38. Compare that to the prices quoted here. The mid should be around 1.3 to 1.32! More smoke and mirrors from Singers who are persistently short of stock on their books. So this is what they do, misread the market. Riz - are you still here? What's L2 looking like?

Some really good thoughts and analysis in the past few days as we've watched the SP wilt somewhat! I agree that the only way we're going to get further equity issues will be to finance acquisitions. I'll be blunt, TW is p*ssing in the wind.

Visitor - I see this is your first post - intriguing. But a really good post and I find it hard to disagree with much of what you say and fwiw I think you are right that in time Shanta will deliver great returns. It's just not time for me to re-enter yet.

As for talking it down if you read all my posts you will see I am far from bearish on Shanta, especially longer term - I am very bullish. It's just the short term I have concerns and I've just been honest. Yesterday's buying didn't get going until after 11am. So far NO sell off on after hours price movement RNS (cue big mouth and sell off!) As I said yesterday evening no smoke without fire, especially with such large volume.

That was a huge buy by Kolar standards. Someone snapping up just over 1% of the company on one trade at a very elevated price.

Someone made a big bet yesterday afternoon @ 1.62 buying 1.2m worth. Let's see what happens today.

Your interpretation of tonight's announcement is interesting and somewhat similar to my view of it. I have followed this stock for a long time and today's action was unusual. Today's volume was way way higher than normal. OK it eventually attracted a few traders but there was definite loading up going on. No matter what Kolar say, no smoke without fire. So, what is going on? Tonight's announcement mentions again the new fintech opportunities along with GMSI. Now we know that Kolar has struggled because the main strategy was of course to partner in the reopening of Bharat Gold mines and the auction/tender has been on hold for years. Kolar also have their investment in GMSI which is valued (on its own) at £3m (against Kolars current MC of £1.5m). I think one of two things is the most likely: 1. Kolar remains as the current entity but brings fresh investment in to diversify into fintech and retains its Bharat and GMSI interests. 2. There is an RTO where a private/start up fintech company essentially takes over Kolar and the management of the unlisted company take control (with Harbinger staying on the board). I think 2. seem a more logical and likely move since it would be a good way to get a public listing without IPO (for the acquiring company) and the quickest most effective way to bringing in the expertise required for the diversification that Kolar seeks. The new company would keep its Indian gold assets but I suspect that, in time, these would be divested. Just a final comment re Kolar valuation. Kolar MC £1.5m against NAV of approx 3.5p What do you reckon?

speaksense - totally agree about SAP! In my previous life I was an SAP consultant so I know a bit about them. Absolutely massive implications for Telit let alone all their other deals. SAP is a Mammoth organisation with a countless number of top blue chip customers all over the world. For me the implications are very bullish and, of course, the market cannot possibly factor in the long term implications, but they're big alright! It just opens up so many more doors.

More than likely dropping the bid either because they're trying to get stock (maybe hit a stop loss of two) or conversely to deter selling. I suspect the next few days will be interesting. Some parties got wind of something today. Too much volume for it to be nothing. I'm sure we will find out soon enough.

Ha! Welcome to the crazy world of Kolar then. The stock is very sensitive to demand so will move accordingly on apparently very little . But I can't see the order book as I don't have L2 so haven't got full visibility. So you only need sometimes one decent order and if there's not matching supply up she goes. This works greatly to our advantage on the way up. But clearly the opposite is the case on the way down. G

Taken from the half yearly report on 31.3.2016 they had net cash of £531k which may seem quite low but cash burn very low. Given that they also stated they have sufficent funds to operate through to Q22017 my guess is that they are burning cash at less than £50k pm.

MM's have very little stock so the price is squeezed quite easily. As a result this can see dramatic moves very quickly on any demand at all. Some news has got out from somewhere.

A few bail out, a little shake, and then one trade mops them all up and we're back to high 1.50 ;)
