Enjoyed watching that video Columbo - he talks about some other copper plays - got me thinking I wouldn’t mind owning a couple of other speculative plays also - I’m sure others on here may be able to give some suggestions as to where I could start my search due dil and all that - so would be interested to know if anyone has any suggestions - (it’s a Sat so please forgive the off topic)

I’m sure he will deliver again solfinger my friend - as many have said just a waiting game now - I have a few more aim investments (I know we are not aim here) which keep me occupied with a bit of buying and selling and I’ve had a few successes (couple for the bottom draw) - this is just a hold play for me now and I’m learning a lot through the journey/experience - anyway gotta dash as I have a bundle of jobs to be getting on wit today - good weekend to all

Pure Fantasy but a thought going through my mind - Let’s say NM had a preferred company he wanted to partner with - maybe Newcrest - Newcrest want to buy in but can’t meet NM’s price expectation for a full 100% take over - maybe NM says he will keep the SP lower by slowing things down with Aggy and releasing news on Alpala in one big hit (the revised MRE) - Newcrest agree to buy 90% leaving 10% for NM and shareholders with a piece of the long term pie - Maybe NM likes this idea as it’s his baby and wants to retain a toe hold (in his words taking it to production) - he knows releasing updated MRE will take the SP up and will then sell the 90% to Newcrest - if Aggy was also a blockbuster it would send the SP even higher and when coupled with revised MRE even higher still - but maybe that would price Newcrest out of the equation - and force NM to then sell to a major who wants 100% and then he would forgo his retaining 10% which Newcrest have offered him. This is me entirely theorising - and it will indeed be shot to pieces for a hundred and one reasons (mainly I guess as he wouldn’t be acting in shareholders best interest) - but my point is we just don’t know what the end game looks like or how things will be structured - or how indeed the moves being made now are positioning in readiness for the final play

It’s a strange one Ronin - our ponderings can lead to negative connotations but as we only have pieces of the puzzle and the pieces we are allowed to be privy too we never really have the full picture - maybe there is an entirely plausible and indeed necessary reason for the current position on Aggy - I guess our own individual conclusions depends on glass half full or half empty but either way it’s good to question and garner others thoughts - as I opened with - it’s a strange one

Ha I should have read your post before I responded to Ronin Richy as you summed up some of my thoughts and like you I’m just throwing out thoughts to gather others opinion - I also mentioned cornerstone earlier in the week - what’s the delay with the spin-off all about ?

Could take that RNS on face value I suppose Ronin - but it does strike me as a little bit like smoke and mirrors - I mean they still have 11 rigs at Alpala so surely not too much impact of following through on direction given that two rigs would go to Aggy - could however be a plausabile explanation which just can’t be revealed yet - maybe something to do with behind the scene corporate manoeuvring ? - I don’t believe too many concerns on what has happened are justified it’s just a bit strange

The Aggy situation deserves a bit more debate - the announcement too send a rig to Aggy was met with a huge rise of expectation (I have to admit I was cheerleading with a few verses of Aggy, Aggy, Aggy) two rigs were then muted to be going to Aggy - The first hole was reported to have hit mineralisation but then came out of said mineralisation quicker than what was thought, so some people mused - much was then debated on here but things did go quiet after that and then the two drills stayed at only 1 - my memory is a little rusty on this - I’d need to go back and read the rns’s for the facts - but what could be so terrible from a single hole that would cause the change of plan and why didn’t we get the results - was it meant to just be added to MRE. I’m lost on the Aggy situation but it is something that does niggle me

Jim - I happen to agree with some of your points in you post from 7.00pm - I don’t think it’s such a huge gamble though and also don’t believe that if July disappoints we would have to hold for 10 or 20 yrs ! - I think there was a fair bit of debate as to if it was economically viable upon release of MRE - markets erred on side of caution and we’ve been falling ever since - but 11 or so rigs drilling surely would have been stopped months back if they were not achieving the results required - why would they burn the cash in that way - if results were not good they would have shifted them on to other targets - NM would not state grades improving tonnage increasing bla bla bla if it wasn’t true - he’d be commiting CEO suicide (not that he would be the first) as results have to be released eventually. Anyway I think July will be affirming and hugely rewarding for many here - and if not I may just have 10 or 20 of yrs reading you and Earthling bickering with each other ! ;-)

Rio have just off loaded a single coal asset for $200m - by the end of 2018 they will sell off another 3 coal assets for a combined total of circa $3.8b - Rio are interested in Copper plays so they have indicated - well that’s a big pile of money they have to redistribute if they feel so inclined - makes you think

Yep we need the positive affirmation Jim - I’d guess most on here believe it’s coming or else why bother holding - obviously we have positive skin in the game from some very big players now - which somewhat off sets against anything AG says (who also apparently holds himself) - let’s hope NM delivers and not in a Ratner style :-)

Got it - high grade core matters - overall grade of the entire tonnage may not be over 0.9 (as an example) but if we have enough of the high grade core, nicely positioned and of a good grade we are in clover - that alone pays for the costs and everything else is years and years of gravy ! Wack in the mixing bowl the proximity to water supply - transportation access - deep water ports further reduces costs which is important when the number crunchers work out how much money they are likely to make - then we add in all our other potential targets just for good measure and bingo £1+ here we come a final little secret ingredient of a high calibre bidding war and who knows where we end up - what I do know is I’ll be on a beach somewhere (I’ll still be happier when we are back in a rising trend and are over 30p though) GLA

Thanks for the response Playa and appreciate and understand your position on predicting SP’s and your stance on revealing your hand. I’ll do some more research on similliar deals which have come to fruition to act as a ‘potential’ guide - thanks

Columbo - I could be entirely wrong here but I think we have an average grade of 0.68 from the first 1b tonnes of rock - then we'd need an average grade of 1.12 from the next 1b tonnes of rock to give us an overall average of 0.9 from 2b tonnes. Not impossible by any stretch - but I'm not sure the tonnage will increase to 2b - maybe more like 1.5 b - so an additional half a billion - and then the grade of that half a billion would have to be even higher than 1.12 to get the overall grade average up to 0.9. Happy to be corrected - as many will know I'm an absolute novice when it comes to Geology

Lost track in regard to the cornerstone spin off - seems to have taken an absolute age for that to complete over on TSX - anyone believe there is any relevance to us in regard to that fact ?

Stronger feel about this today - looking for a rise into and through next week - building up to a bumper summer - fingers crossed

Seems to be holding up well today - hope we can build on this now and move back into a 27-29p range - we could see renewed interest leading up to the expectation of revised MRE data we hope will be released within a couple of months.

Playa - what’s your target price ? With TCF at 4.3 - do you have comparable analysis on companies who have had similar licences and gone on to farm out - what mcap could be expected - just a guide and certainly not holding you to it ? :-)
