I think we’re in for a pleasant surprise here Darkelf. Not at the direct binary mercy of geological conditions for the farm out. I think Dave might just deliver a decent deal. If he’s half as good at spinning a deal to our potential partners as he is to PIs we are in for a treat. 2p+ here we come :)

The top and bottom of what I was getting at is that we’ve paid that top dollar, but have gone in reverse results wise. Hopefully i’ll be proved wrong soon enough. We can’t lose them all... surely.

And for such a sterling CV, how has the last 5 years of Stephens consultancy translated into value for shareholders? The SP has gone down by over 60% since January 2017 and DW has made over £800k in that time. You don’t need 2 geology degrees and 30 years experience buy a few acres and pay a company to capture 3D and analyse it. You just need money, stumped up by us guys. We seem to pluck reserve figures out of thin air and are about to give away ~75% in return for a few wells with ~20% CoS. Do you honestly hand on heart believe there are over 2 billion extractable barrels of oil under our acreage? Why are we exploring for new ventures if that was the case?

Dr Stephen Staley has a consultancy agreement for an indefinite term commencing 2 November 2012. The agreement may be terminated at any time by either party giving three months clear notice. There are no termination benefits payable. In accordance with the agreement, Dr Staley is to receive a minimum fee of £2,315.20 ($A4,522) per calendar month, plus Value Added Tax or other sales tax if applicable, based on 2.5 working days per month. Any work that is carried out by the Consultant in excess of 2.5 working days per calendar month must be pre-approved by the Managing Director. Approved days will be remunerated at a rate of £1,000 ($A 2,033) per day.

I see through the loaded interviews with preset rehearsed questions.People like S4K and Tondy may as well bend over and let DW go in dry, mindless ramping, sucking in the newbies. I remember when winx was announced and I voiced my concerns from a sequence stratigraphy view that there was a reason it was cheap and got shouted down by Jiddy and Bromtard.

It’s all potential this and encouraging that. The proof will be in the pudding the day I see an RNS saying we’ve signed a good deal. Until then it’s all hot air as per usual. For the record he said it’s ‘potentially’ transformational. The ‘transformational period’ began 4 or so months ago and we are now at the lowest points since the early 2016. No guarantees. Failed our first chance with winx and a month to wait to see if we have a farm out. If not then we have a lovely cash raise to look forward to and a long long recovery.

During the interview Andrew should have grilled Dave on some technicals. What aspects of winx were comparable to horseshoe? How did you deduce the well was at the lower end but within the range of commerciality if it didn’t flow at all? Why the fuck did you release RNSs at those specific times butchering the share price?

Has the data room been extended to a wider range of companies - I think the extension was purely dressing up the fact that there weren’t enough tier 1s and maximising the bid ready parties was getting in the lower quality partners. Anybody else notice how Dave mentioned the HRZ would be to a large (not specialist), but conventional was open to a wider range. Sometimes people need to take the blinkers off and follow their own advice by reading between the lines.
