Fully agree. Interestingly block 14 was extended out to 2038 yesterday. If you recall the extension of 3/05 was a key CP for Afentra to buy in on that license. It’s public news that Chevron want out of block 14 and their ~30% is up for grabs, I suspect the sum required is within reach of Afentra given their ability to refinance and also use the cash on the balance sheet. I believe current production on block 14 is north of 50k bopd so could be a transformational deal if we are throwing our hat in the ring, could be looking at >20k bopd post completion. Perhaps in deeper water than we want but let’s see what happens. Opinion only, DYOR
