I think we need to see the directors buying in now …… They need to put the hands in their pockets to show that it is business as usual. I have no doubt the question will be raised tomorrow as to why Stuart Hawthorn sold out. - I’m certainly listening and have signed up

The markets don’t reward ‘guidance reaffirmed’ or ‘current trading in line with expectations’ . The markets reward upped guidance and improved performance.

It clearly states in the RNS the date of transaction and reporting are both 21st. - maybe its just a delayed show. It would certainly account for the collapse in the share price.

Anyone on here signing up for the Investor Meet Getech AGM tomorrow? I think there could be a few harsh words!

I agree Crafty …. Just lamenting the fact that 11 years is a long time to bring something that isn’t a natural fit, to breakeven point - no shareholder value in that at all. Still ….

Wasn’t someone in this board saying some time ago that Mike Ashley wouldn’t be interested in THG/ doing any deal as it’s not a natural fit for him? That’s 2 huge egos in the same room at the same time - must have been interesting to be a party to the meetings! Like him or loathe him, Mike Ashley Is an astute businessman who knows how to go to market with his wares. Wonder if it’s a first step to bigger things between the two companies? Ashley sees opportunities where others don’t and he certainly understands delivering for his shareholders ….

Let’s see if they can recover. It’s going to be a very tall ask, that’s for sure - I tracked his buy ins and he has taken a considerable loss here by selling out on Friday.

Richard Bennett must now step up and earn his CEO keep ….

From a standing start almost 11 years ago, THG's luxury division grew to c. £43m sales and broadly break-even for FY 2023, despite a broader challenging luxury market.

11 years to break even is long time even by THG standards and then it’s sold…. That’s a lot of non productive funds tied up….

While the RNS yesterday wasn’t great it also wasn’t a sh*t show and I personally do not believe it warrants this sp massacre.

Random question - wonder where Ria20 has vanished to ….. it’s not so long ago that every post from her/him/ they was so rampy and derisory of anyone who didn’t match her/his/ their enthusiasm. Oh how the drums fall silent!

Someone asked what Getech does ….. a lot of their work is subsurface modelling to identify minerals, gases, liquids, ores etc and further, to gauge quantities and possibilities for extraction and production.

Oh well, back to work I go as clearly I’m not going to be able to retire anytime soon.

Which companies are you referring to in particular please? Seems you two know something that isn’t general knowledge or something discoverable with research - be good to know if you’d kindly share. And yes …… I do due diligence and probably know as much as you both from available resources.

6% down today - if you are both right then let’s hope he hadn’t changed his mind as there have been no further notifications that he has increased/ decreased his holdings for quite some time .

I for one would feel much better if MM focused more on THG than getting into a public spat which seems to be more t*t for tat playground bully boy tactics with Kelso.

Kelso are noisy and possibly an annoyance to MM but I can’t help but wonder how much of MM’s reaction is down to what he sees as being publicly attacked and maybe wounded ego & arrogance. They don’t have the clout to inflict real damage per se but I guess any insurrection starts with a feeling of discontent and builds to a ground swell if enough hear the message.

MM could stop a lot of this by just outlining a strategic pathway and advising on premium listing etc and then following through. The fact he doesn’t see fit to update accordingly or indeed stick to his word speaks volumes. One could be forgiven for thinking this is just a game to MM but not all games end as they should ….. As unlikely as it may seem, there was once a young shepherd called David who felled a mighty giant with a slingshot ….

Clued - Indeed Kick is a bit of a one trick pony and best pitied. He/she said more or less the same thing to me and others - my holding had doubled in value and I’m certainly not feeling hard done by either. His/her allusion to F & R West is neither clever nor funny and speak volumes as to his/her own character. The fact that no one has asked him/her to explain the comparison speaks to the integrity of other posters on here who won’t be drawn into something so crass.
