Leaving semantics aside, the business of investing in stocks and shares is, by anyone's reasonable view a game with rules, regulations and, sometimes obscure, procedures. It's a minefield so caveat emptor and one shouldn't invest more than one can afford to lose. If this stings to hear, I too am very deep in ATM and I often curse privately at unexpected, contrary trades. I just don't belly-ache about them publcly. That's not to say I am not outspoken. I am. But not when it comes to price movements.

I must preface this with a caution not to view the following as any kind of challenge. If anything, it might be seen as "how not to do stockmarket investments.

Previously participants have chipped in the percentage that ATM represents of their shares portfolio. I believe the record stands at around 71%, which I think we would agree shows huge commitment to the the enterprise.

This time, and because ATM shares are tuppemce hapenny, I thought it might be fun to see just how bogglingly many digits make up peoples' holdings .

I will kick it off, unabashed: I hold 246k plus change. Any advances?

Steady on, old boy. While it can be frustrating to see SELLs at a time when one might expect there to BUYs, it's all part of the game. We all know the rules and participation is voluntary, done with the express intention of selling at the most opportune moment, regardless of others' fortunes.

At last, an honest and realistic opinion from an investor, like myself, who is of the opinion that if you can't beat them, join them. Your observation fits with own, laid out in my post a few days ago, titled "What's wrong with Namibia?". In online media, I see companies, prospects, deals and analysis etc, frequently within Australia, Canada, USA, Argentina, Chile and Bolivia. But Namibia? Not so much. As I wrote in my post, Africa is seen as a high risk region for foreign companies and investors, with previous form to support this. However, Namibia is a relatively stable and safe place for foreign operators - probably safer than many South American ones, which are no strangers to political corruption, popular revolutions, military coups, natural disasters and economic meltdowns. Still, foreign investment and enterprise backs the continent.

I so hope that anti-Africa sentiment doesn't hobble ATM's future success.

Thanks. Reassuring words from Spencerz most certainly. He wisely remains cautious on future lithium carbonate prices. However, there may be a meaningful boost ahead in the form of China's demand resulting from the big, but previously not widely publicized, problem of battery fires/explosions occuring spontaneously in Chinese-made EV's. This has been a widespread occurance in China for a good while but, with state censorship being as it is, it has only recently reached public awareness. This shows in the 18% increase in Tesla's China EV sales for the year 2022, as they rejected current Chinese battery tech. Should this trend continue, the demand for new, safer Chinese-made batteries must surely follow, giving support to lithium prices.

I agree with your sense of security in the highly professional management of ATM, thus far, and I have no reason to doubt it will continue in the foreseeable future. It's why, despite my sticking my neck out, hugely overweight the share, I am able to resist reallocating any ATM money to the red hot NASDAQ tech giants and still sleep at night. Time may, of course, make a fool of me but opportunities like Andrada are few and far between. I just hope the FAANGs don't go hyperbolic again and suck in all the small caps' available retail investment. ATM needs to show growth or people lose interest and faith and........ we know the rest.

Before you blow a gasket - Yes. I know my previous post seems to run contrary to my sizeable holding in ATM. But, I believe it is only financial common sense to run with the crowd until it dissipates due to lack of impetus - say, if existing irrefutable scientific evidence were to escape from it's vaults, disproving the CO2 theory dreamed up by the amateur climate fantasist and US VP, Dick Cheney in the mid nineties. Alumnus of Yale (no degree) and Madison, Wisconsin (no degree). Not the firmest of foundations for a new scientific religion where devotion is involuntary. The unimaginable COULD still happen, but until then, I will join 'em if I can't beat 'em)
