Not sure it’s a sign something is about to happen, surely this appointment is to make something happen.

The webinar was announced by RNS on 06/10/20. Is it possible that LC knew there would be material news to announce on Wednesday when he issued the RNS?
Material news, that which is price sensitive, should be announced to the market by RNS immediately.

No news can be given out at the webinar that hasn’t already been released to the “market” previously by RNS.

Gillie, I registered using the form yesterday. I had a phone call this morning from the company but just informed them I had only registered for the webinar. I have heard nothing since. Good luck.

I see someone on a.v.n had the same issue with having to open an account.

I have registered for next weeks webinar, to do so I had to open a spread betting account. Be warned, could it be someone is getting a kickback for each account opened?

A webinar is normally a discussion - I.e online seminar - otherwise it would be termed a presentation.

Of course, if you are holding your shares in an ISA that isn’t possible.

Jax you can still achieve a tax loss by simply selling the shares, but I guess you know that.

By the way, a few people here, myself included, doubted that LC would meet the timelines for the end of Q3/September 30th, You saw the last weeks’ RNS.

Unless we keep “harping on” LCs inability to achieve a timeline etc. will be forgotten.

It should be noted that the CEO and Chairman have worked together at various businesses in the past. Misplaced loyalty has probably kept him in a job.

Extract from kibo RNS dated 22/09/2020:

“ The Baobab term sheet provides for exclusive negotiation with Kibo on the PPA and as these negotiations are at an advanced stage, the Company anticipates signing of a final PPA before the end of Q3 2020. Contingent on finalisation of this PPA, Baobab is expected to be the second electricity off-taker (with EDM) from the Benga Project.”

So that statement was in an RNS just one week ago, surely Elsie can’t miss this deadline!

Yet ANOTHER missed timeline by Coetzee. Is there another CEO as inefficient as him. Still, he has a very nice salary package but what does he do to earn it?

Metal Tiger - who I believe are one of Thor’s largest shareholder - their SP dropped by 5% today whereas if there was a rumour doing the rounds you would expect their SP to show a slight rise.

Interesting speculation.
