You're right - But they're expecting this to be blown over and forgotten.

We also haven't started doing much, as we're awaiting the formal offer. No use in kicking up a fuss so long as these extensions keep coming through.

I'm 90% in favour of an extension coming.

I do think it will be the last one, though.

December are the interim accounts - They probably want to get this offer through before then, as they wouldn't want to show everyone another set of accounts showing either $160 Million on the books, or showing how they've been spending our money for Ganfeng's benefit.

One more extension to shake out more of the longs, and still squeeze this through prior to the December accounts coming through.

We have to separate our desires from what's realistically possible. To call an EGM would require 10% of the float.

The issue is then convincing the other 90% to vote in favour of removing them, followed up with an actual plan of action to replace them with competent people. We'll get a lot of PI's, but we'll need an institution or two to vote with us.

I'm not against the idea at all - But I don't think this is the precise moment to attempt something like that. To give them anything more than a bloody nose, we'll need institutional support; and this won't come until after the 'possible' offer period.

It's a crime to commit fraud, it's a crime to manipulate markets, but it's not a crime to be weak, stupid, or short-sighted.

There's a lot that will come to light as the formal offer comes though. Some organisations won't say a word to us beyong 'we've received your email' until after the formal offer.

It also stands to reason that a lot of what's happening is to buy time. Nobody anticipated much backlash to this, so everyone has had to make adjustments.

Eventually, this will go to an offer, and Secker and Co will have absolutely nowhere to hide.

I concur with a lot of the sentiment here.

A lot of what Fozdog is saying about Chinese companies taking a long time to jump through bureaucratic hurdles is true, but there's also a BoD ready to facilitate this.

With regards to making complaints to the FCA etc - By all means, feel free to get in touch... It's not going to do us any harm.

But in terms of another mass email campaign, we've got to wait until we have something concrete - Both in terms of making a measurable impact, and in terms of having an offer on the table.

Unfortunately, it's a waiting game at the moment. We just have to wait it out until there's an offer on the table.

When I spoke with The Takeover Panel, they said companies/boards will request extensions to 'protect themselves' - I.e. benefit from the Takeover panel rules.

That being said, we as shareholders clearly feel its a case of beating us down through attrition in the holes of seeing long term holders fold.

The Takeover Panel 'approve' these extensions, but in reality they rubber stamp them. It's only in extreme scenarios that they would reject an extension.

I couldn't get examples of such extreme scenarios, nor how this would officially protect the board/company.

One thing we know, is the board know we're a problem. They need us to quieten down because they can't have this stink following them around when they receive their golden handshakes.
