If results were price sensitive they would have been released. So, as "highly encouraging" as they are they are not good enough to be price sensitive. Nor should they be, this is supposed to be a mine development story, that's what was promised.

Demir must regret the structure of the deal. It was a masterstroke by Conroy to get them to put in €1 mill in cash upfront, much harder for Demir to just walk which is what would normally happen in a straight earn in when results don't go to plan.

Following many many years of exploration the only deposit to be found is Clontibret. Everything else is speculative / unproven. Step out drilling is negative so the resource is not growing and has not been proven feasible yet. Hence the current valuation.

You seem to want to link signing up to the cyanide code to receiving drill results. They are unrelated events. They will have applied to become a signatory weeks prior.

The JV earn in value of EUR 10 mill for 40% valued the overall project at EUR 25 mill.
CGNR's market cap of £7 mill currently values the overall project at EUR 14 mill.
Results from step out drilling at the company's only resource project, Clontibret, have been negative so far.
There have been no announcements of any proposals to develop the project and address any previous technical-economic issues which prevented the project from progressing beyond PEA stage.

Over 22km of drilling at the last count, I believe. If that's what you consider to be "a few holes" then good on you.

Of course it's legal parkez, companies have to apply to government regulators well in advance for permits to drill holes. Forward planning doesn't trigger an announcement obligation, applying for a drilling permit doesn't trigger an announcement obligation. The company may not even drill the holes.

Really? That's ridiculous. If results continue to be too low grade or the project is too expensive to develop and Demir walks, is that still "their problem"?

The first statement would be quite extraordinary from a chairman of a listed company so I'd be checking what was said.
The second is quite meaningless. The largest holders either can't sell because they are not free float, or to sell would kill the price even further.

Goldbug I did a previous calc to drill out an imaginary 8.8 million ounces on the stated rate of success. I can't remember but I think it came out at £80-100 million cost.

Safe to assume there were no significant results from those holes.
If you check you will find very little of significance in all of the drilling over the years outside of Clontibret, which is why that is their only resource.
