Hard time convincing anyone of upside when Demir just walked after €5 mil spend and thousand of metres drilled.

Edochan this is the problem they face with the current fundraise - how to convince existing shareholders or a very tiny pool of investors to keep paying the bills and €325k executive salaries to keep the dream alive that there will be a JV deal to replace Demir. If the board actually believe they have a "world class" asset presumably they will have no problem putting their hands in their pockets. Otherwise this is only getting done for a small working capital amount at a deep discount.

All of those will bring the grade down and the 0.8 g one won't factor at all (below cut off). Probably why they haven't updated the resource.

At Clay Lake, to be fair even going from a 0.1 probability to a 0.2 probability is doubling the chances.

PaulFG is spot on. Mr Conroy says a lot of things which are unsupported by the facts. Looking for a bigger project than half a million ounces? Plenty of them out there. I mentioned one in my previous message which is 10 times the size. So much BS.

you don't have to be an expert to look around and see how this compares to other projects. take a look at rupert resources and their very detailed pea presentation on the ikkari project in finland. western european jurisdiction, 2 g/t resource but non-refractory and 10 times the size of clontibret. look at the amount of drilling done and the level of information provided for investors.

That Cargalisgoran intersection looks skinny fairview, would need to see how the whole thing connects up. Would be much easier if they provided diagrams. The two geologists on the board think this has world class potential but the results are not world class and Demir walked so something doesn't quite add up. Would be good if they enlightened us.

They'll have no problem putting out current figures then. Published NPV is $72m based on an old resource. Not very helpful whether you are bullish or not.

A resource for CL would be great. Two geologists on the board, let's see what they are seeing to tag it with world class potential.

1Moz is an irrelevant number. The resource is a snapshot at the estimate date based on technical and economic factors at that time. In 2017 it was 517k oz. The cutoff grade was 1 g/t so anything under that is worth precisely $0. Lots of drilling since then so whether it's an equity fundraise or JV, investors can't value the project without a current resource.

The 517k Indicated + Inferred reported in 2017 is out of date. There was infill drilling in 2018 and stepout drilling by the JV in 2022. The easiest first step to demonstrate an investment case is to put out a current resource report.

Hands up anyone who agrees that sub 10p (the position now) is better than plus 30p (the position when Demir discussions were announced). So much BS.

A drop from 1,000,000 ounces to 517,000 ounces is a downgrade by any measure.

Robemy the memory is fine thank you. Certainly I expressed an opinion that I thought the Demir deal would go the same way as AAZ once they did DD and they would walk. But they did the deal, spent €5m, then walked.

I also expressed a contrarian view at the time that Demir were not a major company (nobody had heard of them before this deal) and did not have a track record in overseas and refractory gold exploration but I got told to shut up, repeatedly.

What's your point?

Didn't you say the Demir exit was a "wonderful deal". Full of BS.

Seems likely the base metal holes were drilled at the end of the JV programme when the JV was bereft of other ideas. You are dead right - why use bandwidth to talk about such meaningless results? Obfuscation.

I suspect world class is stretching it. But all we have is a list of low grade drilling results, perhaps if they shared a diagram illustrating what it is they are looking at to be so positive about the outlook? That doesn't seem to be a lot to ask. Otherwise it smells like BS.
