Goldbug Demir's money was never a loan. It was an earn-in. The terms of the deal dictated that they could walk after the first phase in return for a royalty. That's what happened. Disaster for CGNR shareholders, who still don't know where all the money was actually spent and what the results mean.

I agree with you on most of that but what do you mean by "getting Demir our so cheaply"? Demir were supposed to be funding this all the way to construction. How is Demir walking away a cheap deal for CGNR? The Demir JV valued 100% of the project at €25m. The CGNR market cap now values 100% of the project at €4.5m. Looks like a very costly deal!

I think you'll continue to be disappointed. "Weigh up different offers"? I don't think they have the pleasure of options. "Do what's best for shareholders"? When has that ever happened? The opacity of newsflow tells you all you need to know - no details of where drillholes are located; no resource update in over 7 years; the current slide deck makes no reference whatsoever to the 2 years and €5m spent by Demir yet shows a picture of a man at a conference who is no longer the government minister.

You were pleased when Demir walked. That meant there is no money, yet here you are complaining about the lack of news..... If the company's eight directors each stumped up £50k each there would be plenty money to update the resource and scoping study and make a business case to investors. No need for a JV.

There is a negative correlation between the gold price and CGNR share price. Over the period that the gold price has gone from $1800 to $2,500, the CGNR share price has gone from 33p to 5p.

Have to agree that a lot of people were disappointed by the JV - €5m spent, no significant results from thousands of metres of drilling, share price cratered from 33p at the start of the JV to 5p today. I understand why you are cross. Why, then, the fixation with doing it all again? This should be dead easy: do a small raise cornerstoned by the directors, do an updated resource estimate and PEA for Clontibret, use that as the platform to fund the project. Doesn't that make more sense than the "Discs of Gold" rebrand and the rehash of out of date information in their current promo deck?

Spare a thought for fairview who says they have an empty life and empty head. Years of trying to ramp CGNR while the share price crashed from 33p to 5p. As you say, all those years of posting here for nothing. Is that what makes you so bitter? A wasted youth, perhaps?
