Troublesome, sadly all the questions are prescreened before they’re asked. The PM knows which questions are coming and they have tight guidelines for what they can ask, the press conferences are pointless these days. For all piers Morgan’s downfalls at least he held MPs to account and didn’t follow a narrative.
The problem is no one knows how to move forwards, the vaccine isn’t the silver bullet. If you let the virus run rife then it will mutate and before you know it there will be a variant that evades the vaccine. The biggest error was stating all forms of social distancing would end in Jun, that was never going to happen. The only way to live with the virus is with all of these things in unison:
Vaccines
Social distancing / masks in some form
testing / genomic sequencing
Education on hygiene
An option to work from home where able
The bigger problem is how you persuade people who are self employed / only receive statutory sick pay to self isolate.
I think we’ll soon find that vaccine certificates will no longer be a thing for travel. They may be required by travel insurance to avoid hospital, however it’s evident (as we all said) it doesn’t stop you catching it or transmitting it.
Original strain = 1
Kent strain = 60% more transmissible. vaccines reduce transmission ~50%. 20% reduction in transmission compared to original strain for double vaccinated.
Delta - 60% more transmissible. Therefore double vaccinated individuals transmit the delta variant 28% more than non vaccinated pers transmitted the original strain. 20% reduction in transmission compared to unvaccinated pers with delta variant.
If that’s the case you can see why the company think they have the higher ground. The DHSC surely knew what they were buying when they entered the contract, unless the product was miss sold they will have to cough up.

Not sure if this has been posted. I think you’ll find sentiment will change when it becomes apparent that this isn’t over and is an endemic. The government are following the dates not the data and I’m pretty certain there’ll be some sort of local lockdowns if not a full lockdown by winter. Testing will be required for years as the LTH have stated for months, the technology of these tests may change but the requirement for them will remain.

Not sure if this has been posted but there’s a new tender out, amount unknown.
B2SL, I agree with the majority of what you say; although, the SP is where it was 12 months ago. As a successful CEO / leader you should learn from your mistakes.
So far GM doesn’t seem to be learning from them, PR, IR, RNS wording etc are what has degraded shareholder value.
I have no doubt he’s an excellent scientist, however you must admit some trust / credibility has been eroded. They say for one bad act that loses trust / credibility you need 4 good acts to gain it back. Let’s hope they are all in the pipeline.
The problem with the company not using an RNS for the antibody test is that it gets no coverage, therefore no free advertisement. The weekend papers are full of story’s with details from RNS.
Twitter is full of investors, shown by the likes and comments on each tweet.
I think so, they’re very happy go lucky on Twitter. Frustratingly most of the followers are shareholders.
Baring in mind Microgen are experts at Antigen tests. Anyone know how much harder it is to create a normal COVID LFT? In comparison to Antibody?
