I was thinking along the same lines about the supermarket. If this is a hard integration task (such that it will take months or years and consume all the cream) then it suggests a high barrier to entry and it is less likely there will be a frequent turnover of supplier - obviously, it does assume Trakm8's offering works well. That said, why haven't these supermarkets already got suppliers. Are we sure it is Sainsburys and not Waitrose (who have moved away from Ocado)?

Yes, you would imagine any insider trading would be done by making recommendations to your friends/family about buying some and definitely not making it that even Inspector Clouseau would figure it out.

I also share your thoughts about the other directors and hope they will be buying off the back of this news.

I have to laugh. Insider trading of a loss making contract within a company that won't be here by the end of the summer.

Good news then. I am not saying that Iceland would have been bad but fresh blood is definitely better.

Does anyone know if Trakm8 show how much of their business comes from optimisation. They are happy to report connected devices (245,000+) but I cannot see anything that gives you a feel for how well optimisation is doing in meaningful terms i.e. x thousand routes computed per day.

Also, could the client be Iceland given they are already a customer and do delivery (I think)

I can't see where the loss is. Client is paying some of the integration costs to an existing system. So the creation of some Web services or similar, how hard is that (not much I would imagine).

Major supermarket would have done it's due diligence so even if this is a loss leader (no evidence of that) it is a vote of confidence especially as said company is paying for some integration work.

Agreed, he is better placed than most. Whilst I still would like to see some other director buys I do feel he is the one who can remain objective (almost ruthless if he had to be).

Regarding the patents, I did not read that much into them. They may have some value but I can't see it. An algorithm for tail gating is probably not that commercial given you can stick sensors (including radar and lidar) on the back and measure the time something is with your personal space. As for battery life, yes it may give a quality predictor but would it be that difficult to predict a poor battery based on a moving average of the charge of it. Just my opinion.

My guesses would be:

1) Insignificant purchase amount so it does not matter (although probably the same size and rough price as the bear that sold out)
2) JW paid Raza
3) Raza wants price up to get Microlise out

Not that it really matters.
