Yes, in hindsight it would have made sense to sell up and pick up the covid recovery shares. I have a lot of skin in the game, I suspect nothing compared to yours (I remember that 90,000 at 115p, we are on a different level but probably a similar percentage loss).

I hope the next update confirms a turn-around. It needs to cover the loan issues, hopefully suggest a profit, controlled attrition and a huge uptake in devices. There I go, dreaming again.

An installation company I know is busy with DVS up to the deadline. I guess there is extra work beyond that point, as their clients are probably meeting the grace period conditions.

ps. your recent posts made me look at the half year results again in more detail. I can't work out if they are good or bad. I take comfort in seeing 253,000 units on the system - that equates to an income of £3m per annum per £1 per month charge. But then I look at the debt payments and think they have gone up a lot (and some of the payments have been deferred). Then I look at the cost cutting yoy and think, we could see a profit in the next update especially when JW stated that after an initial blip in March/April things have either gone back to normal or better. Obviously covid is still an issue but perhaps DVS balances it out.

Seems like a tight spread at the moment - 14.65 - 15 - 15.35. Hopefully a sign of a movement (to be honest, either way would be ok for me - I am getting a Shining feeling at the moment)

Not sure why I cannot see Nosugar's last post (yes, I know how that sounds). Regarding the numbers, what do you mean by the 33k backlog.? Does this explain the 13k increase of units yoy, given that major customer ordered circa 40k over that period and has now come back for more. It is either huge attrition (the 40k is only one order) or it is some backlog.

This could be good for us (the equivalent of the digital switchover in TVs). It does not mention Trakm8 but quotes SmartWitness and Brigade as both being approached by companies wanting to take advantage of the 90 day grace period.

I may be wrong about the loss thing - I was thinking of the days gone by when you sold on April 5th, and bought back the next day.

agreed, that set of transactions took a c.7% hit which I believe would not be counted as a loss (if this was an ISA transfer)

I have a vague recollection of something similar last year (or the year before). I thought at the time it was a larger purchase that got revealed. As it happens, it amounted to nothing :o(

Not the case, an exact 50K sell follows unfortunately. The weird thing about it is the spread. If this was an ISA transfer I would expect to see a minimal spread.

My hope would be that they deliver on some of the optimism they have been signalling recently, sort out the revolving credit issue (hopefully with corresponding debt reduction) and give the market something to look forward to.

Re, takeover dreams.... Nothing is guaranteed, but I do think that Microlise is the safety net for Trak (not saying it would end well for those of us who are massively down). Raza increasing his own personal holdings shows some confidence. Those things combined makes me think there is limited downside from here. However, if true then why no other directors taking a stake.

I was getting mixed messages about when the next TU would so I emailed the powers that be to find out. Probably, for the first time ever, I understand the varied frequency. In their own words (hopefully they will not mind):

"We normally advise the market in April how the previous year has gone and only do so before that if there is any news that adjusts any expectations."

Admittedly, I did not think there was any market guidance this year so no adjustments in expectations can be made. April seems so far away....especially when you see QTX making daily changes larger then TRAKs entire market cap.

All valid points within the back drop of the past few years where the company has struggled. I would imagine staff morale would have taken a hit, commissions hard to come by if reputation bad. The question is, have they turned it around? Is the outlook more optimistic. Can the staff look forward to a positive future....Is Peter Mansfield the turn-around person people say he is.

My money (mainly because too much loss already) is on a recovery. Time will tell.

I assume the subsequent 50k buy (at 15.4p looks like a buy) explains the moderate correction. Personally, I though selling 80k for 14.5p sounded quite strong (expected it to be hard to sell that quantity); even better for the person who purchased (if it is) 50K at 15.4p given the 20k purchase earlier - timing....
