Re the lack of TU, last year I emailed JW a couple of days before they sent out a TU (no comment on this event and the response below) , and this was his response ....

"Currently we have no plans for any sort of update. We normally advise the market in April how the previous year has gone and only do so before that if there is any news that adjusts any expectations. "

I see that they don't always send out a TU before April....and the above suggests there has been no material change in either direction to warrant an update.

Obviously, I would not put it past them but would they not have to issue a statement if they were materially affected? If true, I think they would have had to put the TU out asap, but they haven't.

Don't get me wrong I share your view of the BoD.

High fuel costs may also persuade people to use PAYG insurance and travel less (or give up their cars and use public transport). Would be nice for a (good) TU.....

I reckon they would have rushed the TU out if that was the case. I also suspect they would have rushed it out if the TU was not looking great i.e. there are bigger things in the world to worry about.

So I suspect, the TU will be good and they are delaying it because it won't have the impact they want. I have no clue....

A new job on the production line, nothing special about that. The thing to note is it is only for 3 months. There are a number of possibilities for this but the one I have gone for is a short term need to ramp up production (ok, they are only looking for one person [although they could take on multiple candidates]).

They may not do an update at all. But yes, I checked the dates of previous ones and they can be anytime, so hopefully soon

Looks like they paid the spread so I can't imagine it is an ISA transfer (although, who knows how these things are reported). There does seem to be some weird transactions of late - especially the UT trades. Probably nothing though.....

Do you have any links to the extra people covering the stock? Update is soon in my opinion. I emailed JW last year and he said April (then a couple of days later there was a TU) - so end of Feb/early March?

Double edged sword - my therapist says I need closure, perhaps this would be the moment. But seriously, Trak still have debt to service but I don't think they are in such a bad state to warrant that. I think they will get better from here on in.

Reckon there is a lot that isn't in the share price - lol.

On a related note, what happened today - I see (on this site) two 20,000 transactions - one deletes the other - but price drops.

Agreed, yesterday's drop made me think there is a large sell going through - could be wrong - could just be market sentiment. We are approximately 3 weeks off a TU - I reckon it will be positive but not necessarily genuine. The fact they never replaced Mansfield on the BoD makes (and other staff rumours - the redundancy thing a while ago) makes me think they benefit from further cost cutting, but not actually from a significant increase in revenue. Obviously, I hope it is a great TU.
