Indeed, finding it all a bit odd. Let's hope there is a very good (and positive) reason for this.

That's my take on it - no point, they will just give that response.

Nonetheless, it is still uncharacteristic of them......doting the i's and crossing the t's only gives them weeks in my opinion - so not sure what is going on - could be a long summer.

The main thing re Vixa is the AA was publicly listed when Smart Breakdown was around, it is now in the hands of PE - and they ain't going to be doing vanity projects - so a firm boost to the idea that SB/Vixa may add to the bottom line, for the AA at least. Personally, I still cannot see the incentive to rent one.....

Assuming there is a good reason for the delay, could it be bad.....I don't think so - if Trak was about to fold then surely releasing a dire FY update would not make a jot of difference. We are know what the FY looks like so no real surprise. Going into administration or something would surely not require a delay to this. So I am left thinking it is good news - either, JW's attempt to reassure the market and get things back on track by showing a great FY so far; or the contract is about to be signed; or an offer is in play. But gawd only knows........and I am usually far from the mark.

If this is a genuine status then no incidents have been reported.

Lots of good things for the update:

1) Freedom contract renewal - commitment to 90% of devices being ours

2) Drvn renewal

3) Insurance capacity returned (this is unknown, but based on the April RNS - some of it did return)

4) SmartBreakdown relaunch - again, unknown but there may be a committment to n units

5) Iceland renewal and talk of Phase 2 (which I think is the contract)

6) Assuming it is not Iceland, then an update on the software contract

So it is well within JW's grasp to present a positive outlook (how can he mess this up - face plant emoji needed). I think the delay is about dotting i's and crossing t's.

I don't think SB2 is the contract, just that it is another good piece of news - so the delay would just be to state we have also released SB2. Personally I am not a fan of it - think the AA should give them away and not charge. After all, they benefit by seeing issues upfront/monitor driver behaviour (so can adjust premiums and can deny repairs to cars which have known faults.

Interesting idea but I can't see it being taken private - ML would have to agree to that and that would probably leave JW in control. I can see an offer from ML, but JW will not want pennies as it inevitably means getting their snouts out of the trough - so they will need to be compensated. I know the CLN is a back door diluation at peanuts so anything can go.

By means of an example - Tim Cowley owns 4.5% so his shares are worth a poultry £200k (yes, I know). His take home pay is approx £73k (which is not bad, but not great considering he was one of the people who created the company). Ok, you can't expect everything in life will go to plan but I would disappointed with that - so would hope to get more.......

Was only later when JFW was a NED. I am torn between wanting a full and very good outlook OR consistency of reporting (guess the market will get jitters)
