WROng again HAGGis, right now AFC is about selling the worlds first hydrogen powered EV charger that AFC took on a road trip 2 years ago, there were 50 qualified leads then if I remember correctly, yet no sales. This was a product produced to get quick sales to fill a gap while developing the systems for Southern oil etc that seems to have quietly been forgotten along with all the other white elephants in the AFC scrap heap??.

We had the airport contract and the ABB order so you could argue AB did announce multiple sales/contracts although as always AB over hypes the expectations and then we are all left feeling disappointed.

No problem Garonne, I can stand the childish name calling on here. Many on here have slated me for years including Chippy and Athansius but they too have now seen through the AB BS. still hoping for good things this year though, we do need a proper update, especially on the ‘speaking to our advisors on how best to announce the order book’, unfortunately it’s beginning to look like AB made that up.

Inspector Dr Jon Helliwell said the "pace of development within AFC Energy appears to be accelerating and the company has clearly moved a long way from a proof of concept phase into demonstration and production.

1johntique, a quick google of ABB ev fuel cell charger brings up a partnership with ABB and AVIA showcasing the worlds first mobile eve charger using green hydrogen with H2 energy as the fuel cell provider so AFC are by no means the only partner. I feel our first mover advantage has long since passed however it’s a massive market and there’s plenty of room for everyone, we just need a commercially ready product that people want to buy and it’s clearly proving challenging at the moment !

Who knows Athansius, what we can say though is that his expectations are about as fruitful as ABs, at least AB meets the occasional expectation whereas Haggis never has

AB told us our USP was that our fuel cell can run on Ammonia, we haven’t sold any of these units but are now developing one to use methanol.

I’d say say 50/50 Chippy, he did announce one multi system order (ABB), and a new product although I suspect as with all new AFC products they release them because they can’t sell the current line up

Most LTHs have resigned themselves to everything always taking longer than AB states hence they no longer bother mention it, when Elon started designing the Tesla did he say I could get orders tomorrow or we’re on the cusp ? No of course he didn’t, AB has constantly mislead over timescales

Having taken other posters advice and not keep SP watching has been great advice, Bond is now starting to deliver to his word, and deliver big time, for me the turning points were undoubtedly the ABB tie up, I’ve worked with them and they are a great company to deal with, also the director buys we’ve seen recently. The news today I feel is the snowball being pushed off the top of the cliff and we are finally heading over the cusp, we already have £2m revenue this year plus revenue from Extreme E, revenue next year could as AB alluded get us to break even or even in profit, exciting times ahead.

I imagine the ‘approval in principle’ relates to the fact that there isn’t a physical completed system yet to give DNV approval to, this won’t relate to the contract just the regulatory approvals needed which sounds like it will just be a formality albeit with a lot of work to do.

We’ve already had one multiple order so AB only needs to announce one more order for multiple units and it’s job done. As always he’s very careful with his words.

Charging prices rising in the UK in December
From 1 December, new prices are being applied across the BP Pulses’ UK network. The cost per kWh of energy for subscribers has risen from 23p to 32p for the standard public chargers with AC 43kW/DC 50kW and from 29p to 38p for registered users.

Urban-Air Port (a registered trademark) is developing the same type of infrastructure with a focus on carbon neutrality. It is due to start building its first site in Coventry this year, with the support of the UK government and in partnership with Hyundai Motor Group. Its platforms can be set up in a matter of days, even off-grid. Among other things, they will include facilities for charging air taxis.

Indeed, as several manufacturers have opted for electric engines, it will be necessary to provide charging facilities. With this in mind, the German startup Lilium partnered with Swiss industrial giant ABB. ABB’s expertise will enable the integration of a new system capable of fully charging a Lilium Jet in just 30 minutes. In fact, the battery can be charged to 80% in just 15 minutes thanks to this system.

Garonne, you would do much better to stop posting, I feel better for it, there’s plenty of other disgruntled investors who will fill the void, yes the SP could be better, yes the comms could be better, yes Bond has frequently mislead, but, directors are now buying, we have won a £4m order with £2m banked, we are significantly derisked compared to where we were, things are taking longer than we’ve been led to believe but it’s coming together nicely.

Despite repeated reassurances that we are accelerating towards sales, on the cusp, in the glidepath to sales, I noticed how when AB mentions the current technology he kept having to choose his words carefully and gave no indication that there were any imminent sales for our current offering. Of course AFC are extremely happy with the ABB collaboration because it’s all we have. He mentioned ready mid way through next year then in the same sentence said Q3 ! He said the S series competes head on with PEM cells indicating the reason he can’t sell any L series because they simply can’t compete. As always there will be new products launched because we’ve gone down the wrong route and produced something nobody wants, if you don’t believe me just look at the share price, everyone is coming to the same conclusion, back to R&D until well into 2023.
