NK cant possibly understand your loss mate, must be truely impossible after all that time together, cancer of all types is indeed a nasty random and tough illness to fight for all concerned. As a current survivor i can only say that those sufferers that are no longer with us wouldnt want those that are left to be sad or unhappy, on the contary they would want them to grasp life and continue remembering the good and happy times with a smile, and to go on with life making more such memories in maybe a different but still positive manner. I do know that much mate.

My neighbour is skint, rents his flat and is working at 70 despite having a military, council and nhs pension. But he pays £70 a month for sky tele (when hes never there to watch it), pays £44 a month for gym membership he never uses, buys new cars he never owns every three years on PCP plans, has a posh expensive phone etc etc. He earns more than me but the numpty wastes the whole lot, so has to keep working to earn more and more.

ken, yeah its disgusting, being 50 now i'll not be seeing my state pension at all as i wont be making the current 67 to claim it, ****es me off realy as have paid in everyday of my life since 16.. good on you Ken i did the same, started one at 17 years old whilst all my mates were ****ing their wages up the wall, i took responsability for my future myself. A self made and very very wealthy relative of mine gave me a brilliant piece of advice when i was 16. "use what you've got to make more" he said and ive stuck by that ever since. Whether its a particular skill, hard graft or just plain good hands at poker its possible for all.

you cannot simply go round removing peoples pension rights many years after they have been paid into, (unless your the sneaky government), thats just not fair at all. As for new starters then fine, thats a different kettle of fish, and afaik thats been done in most final salary schemes already.

ken, im going back on 14 November and cant wait im bored senseless, dont like having time on my hands. i think in the circumstances that you outline, namely that the result of any further referedum was opposite to the last one, the losing leavers would respect that result exactly the same as the current losing remainers did the last one. As i understand it, the Espew can accept such a request following receipt of the forced letter and name a date of their choosing, roughly understood to be 31/01/20, and the UK has two days to accept it under the surrender bill. We cannot i understand alter their suggested date.

What if the Espew suggest a date along the lines of 31/01/2345. What can we do?
