For a RETURN OF CAPITAL, yes you do, as that ISNT INCOME - ITS A RETURN OF CAPITAL as far as TAX CALCULATIONS are concerned (outside of isa,etc).

This is the proper way of accounting for RETURNS OF CAPITAL.

Check up with HMRC if you dont believe me

Glen DONT PAY DIVIS, they pay a RETURN OF CAPITAL from capital reserves, so for correct TAX CALCULATING purposes that amount has to be TAKEN FROM YOUR BUY PRICE with each payment.

This reduces your BUY PRICE DOWNWARDS, with each return. Leaving you paying more CGT and NOT income tax along the way as in traditional dividends.

Not a unique company doing this but quite uncommon.

No wonder you are in such a hole here if you havent even got the ability to work that out, before you launch yet more incorrect personal attacks through ignorance and yet more stupidity.

As long as old glenda keeps throwing off decent cash returns then the rest is just a wavey sea to bob about on. The ups and downs dont really matter that much unless cash is needed that moment and your in a trough, investing is never just an upwards incline.

Clear to all that the minerals and other odds and s0d5 glenda produces or trades are going to be needed in ever greater quantities by ever increasing world populations, next to no debt thesedays, so any cyclical slowdown in the world economies is just that cyclical and normal part of life and investment.

Those in power in China, will be super keen to show their domestic 'followers' that their economic model is still superior to the west, so no doubt they will provide stimulus just to save face.

They wont want to be seen turning China into a larger version of North Korea with living standards for the masses dropping to much (thats already started over there with youth unemployment and oppertunities) as they slowly get squeezed out from the west and pivoted more towards the likes of other authoritarian states as we shun their manufacturing base.

Im not adding though, only reason is i have a hell of a lot in here already, average in the low 200's, doesnt make sense to average 'up' at all to me. Im more into spreading the love these days :)
