RE: Let's have a think for a second...7 May 2020 12:47
I'm no expert on Woodford but I get the feeling he invested in biotech at very early stages. As we know from personal experience clinical trails proceed at a glacial pace and in the meantime the sp doesn't have the same support as that of a profit generating company.
Also beware of the auction period (approx first 10 to 15 mins of the day) when prices swing wildly. It is very easy to get stopped out if your broker trades in this period (some don't).
If they can keep the mine in isolation as described in the Crux interview they will be OK and as the CEO says, March was an all time production record and April had got off to a screaming start. On the other hand Bolsonaro is an idiot of Trumpian proportions and I suspect Covid will go through the favellas like wild fire. Poor bloody Brasil and USA to be so cursed at this time.
I thought the final question was interesting indicating that there is an optimal point in the progression of the disease to obtain the most marked improvement. Altogether I'm feeling more confident here - the threat from Woodford has gone and the latest results indicate that the improvement persists over time. I don't see us getting to market with hrpc before 2022 but I'm now much less worried - unless of course, a pandemic triggers a global recession ...
RE: China's stock exchange re opens tomorrow2 Feb 2020 15:46
I suspect that there's a lot of pent up panic. Should be good for gold and bad for oil as people worry about the economic impact of this huge shut down in China.
In today's i newspaper: "..Boohoo is set to leave its high street rivals in the dust when it reports Christmas sales today. Analysts at Jefferies are expectinng sales to leap by around a third in the final four months ..". I don't think the Boohoo RNS has yet been released but I'm hoping the same might be true here. I'm setting my alarm for 7 a.m.!
Have you looked Stockopedia? It's not exactly what you're asking for but it is a gold mine of information. I have been a member for several years now and each year it has helped me make a profit - easily covering the subscription fee!
I occasionally look in here. In 2014 Angle had 45 million shares in issue. Today that figure is 136 million. Where and when are the revenues going to begin? I do not see any reason to believe that this will ever get out of the lab. The estimated net loss for 2020 is £11m and for 2021 £9.5m. Am I missing something?
My concern was that if someone were to acquire Woodford's total share in RENE that it would be a cheap route to a takeover. Going on from that I raised the possibility that RENE might issue more shares to defend against this. . However, PC01's recent post regarding Schroders acquisition of WPCT may have put that worry to bed. I am a committed holder of this share but I do try to be objective which sometimes involves playing the devil's advocate .
I have no idea why the sp declines when the news is good ! One thing I have noticed though is that when the pog kicks upwards TSG is the gold mining share that responds the best.
Hi ideaidea1. Web traffic analysis has the potential for stealing a march on the market. SimilarWeb is trying to herd me into becoming a paying customer and will only provide the stats you quote. Are there any similar site you know of which can show the trend in more detail?
