My wife died of estrogen-receptor positive ER+ breast cancer in 2008 and my twin 20 year old daughters have decided they do want a test in the next 2 or 3 years to see if they are positive. It looks like this test may be beneficial.

5% is 8m shares, which is around 10 days of sell days (assuming 50% sale 50% buy on average)

it's biggest investor/backer is 91 years old... - not exactly, Li ka-shing's CK Hutchison now hold below 50% of the Company so are no longer majority shareholders (you should have seen what that corporate action did to the share price last year!)

They have 8(?) Drugs being trialled worldwide... - yes, China launches first, ex-China we own the rights to everything bar Savolitinib

And today an NDA acceptance of savo - brilliant news, the first ever NDA for savolitinib, the global one which will hopefully follow next year will be huge

The scientific community would have been aware of it and would have had visibility of study data long before today's data

despite the NT's this has already exceeded 300,000. With the daily average at 1.6m looks like that will be breached today

I would have expected Exact Sciences to be fully aware of StemprintER and would have looked at the data that was available at the time. A Biopharma Company who acquires an asset does a lot of due diligence and investigative work prior to acquiring the asset, they would not been unaware of StemprintER.

We would also be in the FTSE100 Index if we were not on AIM, and being in that index would be a very good way of attracting Institutional Buyers, although it almost rules out new issues of shares

For me HCM is a great example of how a tiny Biotech can grow organically into a multi-billion £ Company over time

10 years is good for early stage Biotech Investors who want to make a very good return - I am currently 1564% up on HCM for example

I doubt many day traders have made 1564% over 10 years

Beigene appears to have a much higher profile in the United States, probably thanks in part to its big tie-up with Celgene, so if nothing else, today's tie-up with them will give some much needed publicity. Currently up over 7% in pre-market.

to your question, is it not worth trying? I suppose it is. The Company will I assume be actively looking at its access to capital markets, and if we acquire a large molecule player that access may be required sooner than originally thought. I know we have enough cash/cash resources for quite a while but that may soon be depleted if a large molecule player is acquired.

amones, I agree, but the other point I have made on a few occasions is that unlike the U.S. there is not really a specialist Healthcare Investment community in the UK/London who gets Biotech and Biopharma. Some Analaysts cover AZ , GSK etc but there's no real community of Investors like there is in the U.S.

Your point about some institutional investors not being willing/able to invest in AIM listed Companies is well made, I understand it, and now we have a similar problem on NASDAQ with U.S institutions such as state pension funds not willing/able to invest in any Chinese companies or firms associated with China.
