it is interesting that since the BGNE deal with Celgene a couple of weeks ago traffic for HCM on boards such as Stocktwits has gone up as has the number of watchers. Clearly still under the radar to some extent but the company appears to be starting to get a higher profile amongst smaller investors (and traders unfortunately)

well if I'd not sold all my holding at sub 400p many years ago I wouldn't be posting here today, I'd be retired! In the meantime I'm building my holding back to what it was 10 years ago eg. 10,000+ shares ;o-) I remain invested for at least a further 10 years, no profit taking for me until then, my timing is terrible

No No No! Possibly at £140 in 5 years time (my valuation model has been fairly accurate so far). I think those who will see a fantastic return are those who hold and stay invested. Clearly the Directors know what they are doing and in the words of Mr To:- "Chi-Med’s consistent strategy over the past 16 years has generated considerable shareholder value, and we believe it is now poised to deliver substantially more.

Thanks Azurite, Investors Chronicle have been bullish and supportive of Chi-Med for many years so I'm glad they still seem to be so! I do hope the current price rise doesn't continue for a while as it's playing havoc with my stake-building strategy! ADR Technicals suggest the rise will continue now we have broken through resistance but let's hope not!

An all time high of $24.36 has just been reached on NASDAQ............great volumes and the volume of comments on the bulletin boards is increasing, which is great news. Maybe people expect a repeat of the recent BGNE situation!

I wasn't expecting anything more although at some stage soon I do expect some kind of licencing deal My only slight negative is with regards to Eli Lilly. They were supposed to decide by the end of May whether to take up their rights for Frquintinib ex China. I'm surprised none of the professional analysts on today's two calls asked about that. I can only assume they have deferred the decision until 2018 but that is purely an assumption.

yes! which is great as I bought more today Matt! But 5% down on NASDAQ? Ridiculous......people clearly need to get better educated Stateside about what this Company is about and why a few million in land compensation coming in a bit late, or indeed, earnings, are irrelevant in the overall picture of where we are today, where we've come from, and most importantly, where we are going. I hope everyone has read the Chairman's comments! I continue to buy.

A great set of interim results, showing significant progress in the pipeline, with an updated pipeline chart. I particularly like the following comment from the Chairman of the Company:- "“Chi-Med’s consistent strategy over the past 16 years has generated considerable shareholder value, and we believe it is now poised to deliver substantially more." Volumes on NASDAQ four times the average today....positions taken ahead of interims??

Apart from stellar results, which we have come to expect, I wonder if we may hear some other news, such as a licensing deal?.

There's a fair degree of discussion on American boards and Biotech sites that Gilead is looking for a tie-up to widen its current focus on HIV and other immune diseases and get a bigger foothold in oncology. Could they possibly be interested in a deal like Celgene has done with Beigene, where they take an equity stake and pay a big up-fron fee followed by royalties? It seems that a lot of big Biotech think that may be a better way to go than an all out acquisition of a smaller player.

Unfortunately we are getting a lot of comments like this on some of the American bulletin boards:- "You're gonna trust a Chinese company???? I'd probably take Radio Shack before I did that" I have of course educated people that the Company has a British CEO, British and American Board members, governance and transparency that far exceeds requirements and also reminded people that the Company has returned in excess of 2000% share price growth in the last 10 years. Unfortunately people are clearly not educating themselves about the Company they are invested in, or considering making an investment in, which I always find a bit curious.....
