Wonder how many millions was spent over the last 10+ years getting FDA approval? Sad to see it just 'given up' but I do understand the reasons.

AN was laser focused on this and turned out to be a complete dud. Does sound like the new team have a better plan now and at least this shows they arent just throwing good money after bad.

I am so far down on this now its not worth selling so just going to sit around and see what happens in the next 10+ years to see if I can recoup some of my losses

Dont this Astra would bother just 'buying in', surely at this value it would be all or nothing for them

I used to follow RENE (never owned but just kept a look out) and they went through a huge placing maybe 7/8 years ago and the placing price was actually at a premium to the SP at the time. Very rare and not saying this will happen here (highly unlikely), but it does happen sometimes.

I have held here for over 10 years so well and truly battered. Have been averaging down but still at a significant loss percentage wise

Pretty sure they will need to raise funds regardless of landing any deals, cant imagine an deal signed today would generate immediate income to fend off the need for a fund raise in the very near future. Should mean they can raise at a higher valuation though so less dilution (hopefully!)

SteveWilliams aka Emarald Carrot - yeah the full ask was paid of all of the 3 buys today. totaling less then £100 - amazing stuff :)

SteveWilliams is now the newest member of my filter club. Dont get me wrong, i would love nothing more then to see this do well as I have something like a 29p average, but the constant ramping is awful. How can a £3.99 buy at full ask this morning, make the share 'look hot'?

Id snap someones hands off if they gave me 22p a share, would just about breakeven at that point following my disastrous 15 + year investment :)

@Dflynch - I dont think they ever were employed by the shareholders?

If you mean will they still be shareholders of AGL, then yes they would still own any shares they had bought. Not sure where they stand on options etc so hoepfully someone would be able to answer that for us?

With all the squabbling in here, have you all missed the £200k buy from 13.52 (looks like a buy anyway). Thats a huge trade for AFC

I'd guess at Air Products too. didnt AFC have some kind of deal / agreement with them a couple of years ago. I've lost track a bit on this one to be honest but have been invested for about 6 years, bottom shelved it the last few years but now paying more attention!

Daz - not sure the CEO and his Mrs would buy shares to then deliberately dilute themselves?!
