Just realised they possibly have all of oct to finish drills too. That more likely to be enough time. Looking at the trading did many holders still think a lithium acquisition was on the cards - unlikely imv. 20% drop on news that we no longer actively neg for lithium asset? If lith was priced in surely there would be more selling after this news. Timing of this news, which today coincides with what is likely, essentially the announcement of a near term upcoming drill campaign.

We knew how consistent the grade is and that the Ni is disseminated so the sorter imo was relatively unlikely to be particularly successful at zeb. LS April 17 presentation - from 13 mins - little difference in Ni grade. It's not like the metal is vein hosted for example, seems a strange test to me. From the RNS yesterday xrf upgrade insufficient 'due to an overall lack of variation in nickel grade in the samples submitted.' strange- if that is the reason it failed to improve the mill feed significantly.

Cash burn should have been low since last update especially if apparent activity is anything to go by combined with weakening ZAR. When combined with the mrs stake. Very little likely priced in asset wise at the current MCap although seen many shares trading below cash so who knows where we could go. Another placing? Down here? Would make feb RNS look .... even more.... a bit off.

Must admit looking at sp chart and reading lse/twitter it is hard to focus on the actual developments here. However painfully slow and few in number they have been.

Morning King I was only referring to ip in my guesstimate of 'very early sept' then according to RNS in July, seems geochem and drilling will then be conducted (ie after ip) not sure if the two techniques are to take place at the same time. But to have any hope of finishing them both in September I would have thought they would need to be (even then pushing it imo). Geo chem I'd expect to be quicker than drilling but it sounds like the drill locations aren't dependent on the geochem results (the way it's written anyway). They've not felt the need to even mention the license so maybe I/we are missing something? Clarification (if only of the current situation - if awaiting an outcome) could have been given in a single sentence so the reason for not mentioning it is unclear when our conclusions seem both reasonable from info provided by uru, and highly significant (potentially investment decision changing).

Kinnard writes how uitloop (zeb) is an Isolated sheet like body of lower zone geology which abuts the west dipping footwall of the Transvaal supergroup out to the east.

Know from RNS 28/09/17 hole Z017 was drilled at approx 40 degrees from vertical so extended horizontally from its surface location approx 253m. Looking at the maps scale bar it's clear the surveys pass well beyond and to the east of the 1.6Ni discovery and also of the hole base. Looking at the IP transects ZGL006P - 11P all pass well to the east too. Now the ip technique is 'working' further areas of the 0.5ish Ni and 2-6g/t PGE maybe found but theres also a chance of massive/semi massive sulphides and associated high grade Ni in the vicinity of the footwall (serpentinised meta sediments of the Transvaal) contact could be found and the further east they go the shallower it may get.

Still think if acid leach doesn't come in Ni prices will soonish make froth float numbers look good again.

Another RNS with some welcome detail.

I think its a change for the better that we have been informed of goings on and test outcomes even if they turn out to be negative.

The delivery of the 'negatives' of the xrf testing and lithium can be taken three ways aisi. Either a recent precedence has been set by the company deciding to deliver negative outcomes to previously RNSed activities (xrf not specifically mentioned) in which case we should await tentatively for possible other negative results. Alternatively no precedence has been set and the Ni bioleaching and magnetite testing is still on going and therefore has not yet proved to be of no benefit. Finally news is released on dates dictated by mgmt for whatever reason and unconnected to date news was received - dodgy.

Certainly decent news that ip phase one was successful. Otherwise not sure what next step would have been. This way more ip followed by geo chem and possible drills (potential for discovery). The higher grade areas can be spotted by the technique so potential anomalies can be found and investigated on a targeted basis massively reducing cost/increasing likelihood of success cf educated guess on a drill location and hope. Less drilling less cost less dilution, (and hopefully value addition).

Would have been interesting to been told which 2 transects were completed with ZGL00P2 being further SE than previous work.

Re IP - Sumner (granted back in the 60's) writes how 'data must be continually computed, plotted, and field interpreted.'

2 transects in three days (if it went to plan) - perhaps one day set up etc then one per day. 9 more transects shown with some longer than others and some down time. Seems reasonable it could be finished very early September. With results/any anomalies available to be seen pretty much straight away.

Ip needs highly sensitive measurement with only very minor variation in induced polarisation between different earth materials. Managed to pick out 0.4 and 0.5 Ni with 2g PGE from 0.2 and 0.3 Ni. Seems a good result to me.

Manlord, your posts are much appreciated by myself (a largely silent but long time reader of geo bb). This is far from my largest holding but at current levels I view geo as a bargain and aim to add some when I can. Like others I'm down on my investment but I tend to think long term, and seen as my position isn't large and have no requirement of the funds invested, imo the current sp direction is nothing short of an increasingly attractive opportunity. Conference call wise, I would be interested, however my daily life is highly unpredictable and often a phone call requiring lengthy concentration is impossible. I'll put my name down but if a firm commitment is preferable then best to leave me off the list. Perhaps should I not be able to join/have to leave the call. A similar linked recording could be posted as we were recently treated to by panda1 (shard recording) luckily I saved the file before it disappeared. If not no worries, I have listened carefully to the shard recording and am satisfied I've invested well in geo and am happy to await newsflow. Aimo ATB

Totally understand what your saying regards to CCC ofd (some observers might say doubt on many fronts could almost arguably seem to have been 'weaponised' here - against the sp) also understand in regards to evac at 2p.

I have and have always had a very long term view here which was vastly strengthened as I learned more about likely future EV demand over the coarse of last year. Other entities also have very long term views and if those views are positive then accumulation as low as possible is prioritised.

Mechanisms for such accumulation Imv include initial rapid spike to gather attention and attract speculative money. This could then be followed by an extremely protracted decline with the introduction of doubt from multiple angles. The shares sold on such a decline are bought up. In addition the psychology of some of even the most stubborn of continuing holders is nudged towards getting out with a small loss or at break even or with minimal profit instead of at 2/3 hundred % or more profit.

This situation (sp chart over last 18 months) has/likely will generate the potential for accumulators to do so at vastly reduced cumulative cost than would have been the case with a slow steady sp increase in line with fundamentals of flagship project/regional infrastructure/jurisdictional investment environment improvements.

I plan to slice some at 4p and can (and possibly will have to) wait a long/very time to do so. I could easily turn out to be very wrong and overall prevailing sentiment seems to currently suggest I am, but I've done my thinking and I've watched the developments and made my choices and each of us has to/will do the same. Just my views and my current plan.

Chart also looks like it does due to missed timelines for news and profit taking and because most who bought uru last year likely either lost or are down and there's a general bad taste in the mouth around uru. Not for me (and others here) - remaining upbeat.

JZ missed many a timeline, maybe he will miss the 1 year divestment of non cannabis related assets. Who knows certainly not me. Reading the new website it didn't come over to me that these other assets were going to be gone by this time next year.

August could be referred to as anticipated start for many reasons one possible scenario is that they are awaiting a new prospecting license for a new area/expansion on current/existing (this imo will be available for up to a 5 year term as it's a new area).

The reasons I believe this to be one possibility - I outlined in my posts of 24/07/18 and 25/07/18.

Whereas I understand (Mprda, I think, states license exclusively remains those of the existing holder until a refusal has be made in regards to current holders renewal - so not explicitly that ops can continue) you continue to be able to operate under an existing license once you have lodged a renewal. I understand that you can't begin ops on a new license area until it has been granted.

If we have applied for prospecting extension to the south east and lodged for mining license for the existing licensed area then the ip cannot be completed in one visit, until extension is granted. Perhaps this is/was anticipated to occur in august.

I stress (and it's obviously the case) that it could be just down to eg contractor availability for previous job or many other less significant reasons for the use of the word anticipate.

Btw I don't think the berg licenses are linked directly to the zeb ones. The various rights assigned will be, imo, to distinct geographically defined areas and will be identified and administrated under individual licenses. It could be that both zeb and burg licenses have been initiated renewal on similar/identical timelines but that would be the only way they would run out the same time. I haven't read anything I can remember reg burg licenses tho so not sure by any means.

No/very little new news and little volume. For me the relatively limited volume that has been traded between/on the decent from 0.8 and down here suggests that significantly increased volume (likely combined with news) should see a return to somewhere similar reasonably quickly assuming, of coarse, the news is seen by market as good.

I would see expansion of license area as good news and grant of mining license as very good news.

Holding pattern whilst I await funds to take one final buy - back to a nice round number. AIMO ATB

Hoping we've seen the bottom here (I've thought that a few times previously though) my lowest buy was in 0.3s (thought that was a bargain) and well down overall at mo but potential remains huge and diverse here, wish I had had spare cash to buy low 0.2s. GM latest comments are that he wants the charter sorted/in place before oct/nov 2018.

Imv it will be highly significant to the elections and the broader SA economy. The influence of the new charter will likely take time - several months at very least to become clear.

Whilst pretty well all South Africans are affected by the economy, only a relative minority are negatively affected by mining. The arduous (free carry especially) elements of the charter therefore to me seem to be lesser vote winners relative to the business/foreign investment friendly elements. Even if the majority of SA sides with communities rather than mining companies, if enough time to see economic improvement elapses post gazette date, and lives and near term prospects improve - votes will surely follow on a self interest of the masses basis and retrospectively spiteful/negative votes for fellow man will wane in number.

For this reason (strengthened by the timing of the elections) I feel any changes between the released draft and the gazetted version are likely to favour the latter of the two above mentioned elements.

GM and Rama want to transform the mining industry but Imv their overarching motivation of transforming SA as a whole (starting with its economy) will influence their actions on this singular/specialised but significant area of secondary legislation - they can't do much if the ANC lose power.

Nickel taking a hit last week. More important to me is the stockpiles - still decreasing almost daily. Stainless remains primary driver of spot and trade issues putting doubt on stainless production levels are hurting price. Trade war - will end at some point. EV nickel spot influence - will increase. Nickel market looks likely to bifurcate 2019. Ni companies sp's widely down across the board last couple of months. As are many resource companies (at least those on my radar) irrespective of the pr skill and or effort of management.

2019 looks to me like the year where class 1 Ni price increases to levels where zeb 2012 resource froth float numbers return to significant profitability.

Niketo seems to have been stripped down just before sale, and sale to who? (Pg 130 - kings latest info link). Sold on the 15/03/17 for just 100k dollars (a smaller amount than 'it' invested (during just one placing) into shares of uru less than one month prior). Seems niketo had some hefty income tax liabilities which have been offloaded through the sale? Even the tiny 100k sale price was unpaid at the time of writing yr end results. So the gain we talked of this week was just a relative one as the tax liabilities were written off? Pg 152 shows how niketo had some cash concerning bank of Cyprus at time of sale. As I say I'm no accountant and happy to be corrected as usual.

Unless the sale was to another subsidiary of captor but then surely the gain wouldn't have been realisable? Bottom line we have near on half bt indicated from (small amount of) pre 2012 pea drilling - 4 times amc four deposits combined (from my quick scan) however they have 3 times av grade. With drilling last year and this year (including upcoming) indicated should increase. Looking at proximity and locations of recent campaigns, some previous indicated maybe upgraded to measured (as we were told was an aim of the programme). It's one big lump (which extends deep) and has high consistency this to me suggests an overall relatively lower prove up meterage cf other more complex/deeper/heterogeneous deposits. Aimo ATB

Yep The following I only point out as it has occurred to me, not that I think it will happen. If uru fail to fullfill certain (currently undefined) obligations the licenses (owned by uml which owns lpu (uru own uml)) can be returned to UMH in exchange for uru shares issued to UMH as part of the original deal that uru did with UMH. So I have a niggle in the back of my mind of potential conflict of interest but seen as thresholds are undefined and people in the know have been buying uru I don't currently think this could/would happen but my understanding and info on which which my understanding is based are both limited.
