RE: 2021/2022 Earnings forcast12 Feb 2022 17:07
I think the stock was overpriced, the price was set by too many uninformed investors - as has been proven here with the discussions. A discrepancy between value and price existed and the differential was realised as a profit in the form of a short. I posted that this stock was being shorted in late December, I dumped all my stock in the following days, and bought back a little at increments as it dropped. I didn't expect it to drop this much, so perhaps my buying was a little early. This stock will recover, it makes positive cashflow, has growth prospects, and BatM has a lot going for it. But as someone who likes to be active in the market, I want to profit from a move whether it is up or down, so not that bothered as have improved my situation. Learnt a lot from watching it and further research, Sold another stock Friday which has just notified as short - although I expect it was below 0.5 for some time, as already down a bit. But great, I can make 20p on those shares, and that is why I am investing in the market.
Im certain a few posters here are not genuine, but it has been entertaining none the less. Interesting that some stocks attract these posters, and other stocks go down quietly!
I would add that most shorted companies have real issues, and it wouldn't be a good idea to just buy heavily shorted companies. Likewise being invested in a company that is being shorted should be a wake up call. There seems to be a few, like BatM which are good companies but are just over priced. If you can figure out why, they are over priced, and determine a new entry, I think it could be a profitable strategy for the current market. Hard work and not for every one, but something I shall be working on. So really, I don't care if BatM goes up or down, I'm ready either way.
