Thanks for your answer Scott, very interesting and gives a bit more context regarding your buying.
I believe you have been investing a lot longer than I have, and TXP was a first major success for me back in 2019. I made the mistake many first timers make and kept adding, and did the round trip back to below where I started. Since then I have only briefly been in profit with TXP - we are talking nearly 3 years now. I am glad I found the likes of I3E, and remember well selling some here to buy there at 8p. I felt mortified when the tables reversed a month or so later (I3E did a placing at 11p), but since then the investments have all progressed well and I have greatly diversified in O&G and benefitted from the sector rise rather than one company, I think it is fair to say that TXP has not really benefitted from the sector rise this year.
In contrast to you, and many here I have a very small sum in terms of net wealth, its no where near enough to retire on even though im not young, it is fair to say I am quite behind. Hence I have my entire pot in about 20 stocks, most are like TXP, in fact they are all AIM stocks. I believe it is possible to improve my situation over the next few years and actually work harder and longer at investing each day than I do in my day job. I'm hoping one of these AIM stocks can finish my mortgage off and free me up to to focus on adding and developing my pension further. I'm not in the get rich quick club as I have made all those mistakes already. This year seems to be going well so far, and I'm quite well up. Not being greedy, taking profits regularly and being very risk averse. If I had more cash to add, I wouldn't add it to TXP currently, I would stick to I3E or JSE at the moment, but once TXP starts taking more revenue, ill start to go all in. I am in O&G: CHAR, SAVE, JSE, I3E, SQZ, EDR & MATD (sometimes!). Had to sell JLP last week, but its a great long term investment. Being in front of the screen all day, my timeframe is much finer, I can be back in before it moves. Oh, ill mention ATM too, that's a good one. Scott22, sir, May I ask you a question. I dont post here much, but am invested and do read the forum daily.
I see you keep talking about buying and buying. Great, but do you buy other stocks?
One of the best things I did last year was to move money from here, into O&G producers and other explorers. I have a reasonable holding here, but the holdings I have built away from TXP have far outgrown my TXP equity. I3E for example has easily doubled since the start of the year...
I personally believe that there will be time to buy more TXP once it starts moving, and in the mean time generating more capital elsewhere may buy a larger stake. Since the Ukraine crisis I have raided this even more, I'm sorry to say.

Even if I wasn't invested in any O&G stocks, I wish the world would stop buying O&G from Russia. I saw an article saying that sales were dropping even without sanctions.

Lol OK Trigger, you know best. I sold out and the price is already lower, a good move in my book. I put the money in O&G stocks because that is what is making money this week, not a copper resource that might or might not have some kind of deal made in 3 months. As for sharing my insight, I'm happy to share it with Adw, he seems to be making an effort to follow what is going on, rather than be the class clown and throw out petty insults. I see you only post on ARS, I really hope that this is your only investment, no wonder you are bitter. Lol.

I might buy back or I might not, there are plenty of these binary bets on AIM. I actually took money from SAV to buy this, and Id say given what we know, SAV now looks a better binary bet. 8 weeks is a long time, so we will see - this could go to low 1p's. In general Jam tomorrow stocks are not where it is at right now, I have made a lot of money in O&G over the last couple of weeks, but it is nothing for you to worry about, stick to what you know.

I sold some at 2.85 last week on the production news. Bought back today for...2.85.

GGG, some decent oilers were down yesterday. SQZ started to drop and ended about 6% down, and that has a lower Ev/Ebit than I3E according to the Tennyson note.
Perhaps from a technical point of view, the stocks were looking over bought - too far from the 200 MA's.
Either way, I'm glad as I bought more of both today.
Reminds me of that phrase about Mr Market who lurches from panic to euphoria.

Since I have to post to correct my self I will elaborate:
I meant Ev/Ebit for hays of 8 not PE. If you consider that is close to Carclo, especially if the CAR sp recovers a few points then what is the difference?
Hays have net cash of 200M, are buying back shares, and promising to pay around £100M in a special dividend (that is over 5% yield at todays SP). Those are the extras you get somewhere else at the same valuation metric, so does make CAR look expensive. Would look even worse if you pick a super small cap, or O&G company, I just used Hays because it is average.

Im holding CAR but better places to put your cash IMO.

@Jolly, Well done on calling the price 25p. I calculated the EV/Ebit around 7 now - that was last night so could be a little lower, but yes when you look at other companies with similar numbers, they don't then have the debt. I couldn't put more money here, when there are I3E, even companies like Hays with shed loads of cash and a PE of 8 or 9 look a little better. I was checking out BILN last night (where you were posting), but may have got back to fair price.
Carclo is an ok investment, but fact is there are just better out there. I am still invested here, see no point selling at a big loss. But wont be averaging down until this starts to turn or can be valued on new metrics.

Yes, people dont like news stories like "the nuclear power plant is on fire". Makes people want to run to cash which is crazy, like I said a company like I3E is about the safest place to put your cash at the moment. I have a few grand left if it drops below my last buy, ill go all in.

Forget Serenity, safe assets in Canada, will produce cash for many years. Hopefully I can move out there... LOL

I keep telling you, that is how it is done. Project finance in place then the deal. All your thoughts are valid and along the right lines. I sold out today, can better use the money else where. Ill might buy back in 6 or 8 weeks. I personally think doid will go for a 100% of the project, and im reckoning about 5p buy out best case. It could get complicated if ARS want to keep that other resource, then share holders wont really get bought out. At 5p, that is really only 100% gain, which on AIM can made on many other stocks. It was worth buying in for on the DD period, but not sure the upside is there now. If it isnt a buy out then I think there will a placing for ARS final bit of the 40%. TM was talking about getting this $ as an offtake deal up front, so that RNS would encourage me to buy back in. Worth a punt, but O&G is so easy to make money in, over the next 3 months, this is just dead capital.

I do not think there will be a placing, but I think EOG made a good deal with I3E and the placing will further the company.
Generally if a company is making good cash flow, like EDR a placing would only be for a business enhancement.
Looks more general market drop, even my other oilers all down around 5%, throw in the illiquidity and maybe a large sell or people swapping from EDR to EOG as I said earlier and I think that explains it.

Very encouraging. Actually I moved some oil profits in to here, and relative to the oil stock this is down less, so a good day.
