I have been in similar buyout situations before and the price does tend to stick almost immediately just below the recommended cash offer price. 27p would make me feel much more confirmable about yes. 22p, reflects what appears to be a knife edge. I have to say if there is a no vote, the BOD should never have let it get to a vote in the first place, unless the intention was to publicly lose the vote and shift to other options.

IIs are always consulted; always. So, either way there will be a plan - it just might not be good for us, PIs. Our interests are not always strictly aligned with those of IIs and I for one don't want to be sat around 15p for 2-3 years whilst a plan succeeds or fails.

In normal circumstances, I would be almost certain of a yes vote as it makes the most sense on the basis of available information. I also find it hard to imagine the deal getting to a vote if the II weren't onboard - and they would be vocal in their opposition if they are not onboard. It is the SP that is a little mystifying ..I would expect at least 25p, by now. Given the long wait to get the monies I think there would be a larger than typical discount, but 22p against 30p? Seems overdone.

There's also something sticky about 22p - the market may be telling us something here (maybe).

One thing I do know, is I've never known 'mr market' to call it wrong...

When does voting close? Surely in this age of immediacy, we should know the outcome of the vote as soon as the last vote is submitted within the timeframe.

The price is circa 85p and if they do, it proves how inept we are at running and retaining our own core industries - this is how a free market economy works.

Well, it's strange that I didn't receive a communication from IG. But if abstention favours yes, then great. For me, that seems the best outcome - near-term - which is what I'm interested in. Apologies if this has been posted already but has the BOD given the date of announcement for the results. Surely, an RNS will follow swiftly after the voting period closes. So, after hours tomorrow ./ Friday 7:00am?

I didn't receive it. Last voting communication I got from IG was Oct 10.

I would add that I haven't been able to vote with my small 100k holding, as it doesn't seem to be possible with IG. However, as 30p makes me a decent profit and there is no (as yet revealed) alternative path forward for the Co, I would vote yes.

However, disposals aren't something that randomly pop up, they take months to negotiate and the BOD will have had sight of them, as will Sid, at the time the deal was being negotiated. So to my mind they changed nothing.

I don't care who is right or wrong, I just haven't seen a viable path forward in the event of a no vote - so, in that sense I am owed something by the company who need to come straight out and reassure the market in the event of no.

Still waiting for Ice to tell us how he knows 'no' is locked in and why the price has held up in the face of this (no vote will almost certainly see this move into single digits, initially - unless a rival bidder emerges at the same time, Sid immediately ups their offer, or the BOD put up a plan that doesn't involve DFE or Admin).

If a rival bidder was sniffing around we'd probably have got wind of it by now. However, it seems the only person that knows for sure what is happening here is Ice - even the big boys are behind him on the curve (apparently).

And you know this, how? If this were common knowledge the SP would have cratered. I must say, in anticipation of a yes vote, I expected it to be above 24/5p today but not much higher. As someone else said, I also see this floating around 26/7p, once a yes vote is logged - if indeed it is. A no vote, will see this drop to single digits, until a clear path forward becomes clear and according to the outgoing BOD the path is ruinous for PIs and I believe that too.

Pretty hard to take seriously, the ravings of an individual, who doesn't appear to know the difference between 'their' and 'there'.

You can only hold a yes or no vote if the question being asked can be answered in such a way. There’s uncertainty around the vote which is holding the price back - the rest is noise (or nonsense, as in the case of this original post).

Personally, I suspect it’s a yes vote but will become clearer as the final date approaches and the price moves accordingly - ‘they’ will know before you or I, plebs. By ‘they’ I don’t mean ‘Ice’.

Today's SP action is not reflective of a 'no' vote, Ice. Rather, it is becoming more and more obvious that what is being engineered is an orderly exit for the MPs (mates, in other words).

I would be amazed if this is not sat around 27-28p, come Weds - if the same action continues - or even picks up pace as is typical in previous situations, I've been involved in.

People have had ample time and opportunity to vastly reduce their averages - hopefully, many more than thought possible will see positive returns if the vote is yes.
