PYX Resources: Achieving volume and diversification milestones. Watch the video here.
All,
I'm already invested here across several accounts which equates to nearly my largest holding within the portfolio. But, i'm seriously considering increasing my position yet further as most of the bad news stories seem to be transferring into the rear view mirror.
There are many positive streams of information to support my decision to increase; like the turnaround plan being well on track (despite covid), the IT system migration nearing completion, high profile enterprise links, endorsements/incentives, plus the overall SP/valuation remaining attractive to possible TA activity too. Sure, the elephant in the room is maybe the high level of debt, but what a time to hold it in the current interest rate environment, not to mention the maturities being way out in 2024....
The use of software, cloud, security and optimisation of business data is surely only just beginning, is it not?
So, what do people see as the biggest headwinds to their research or, more simply put, to their gut instinct of Micro's outlook?
On another note - does anyone know anything about Iaas platforms, containerisation/Kubernetes etc? It's used in the deployment of applications which run across cloud platforms independently of operating systems. Apparently the future of cloud computing. The reason I ask, there was a crowd funding project very local to me for a Company who are using a K3's managed Kubernetes service which is streamlined to use less computing power and launches in under 2 mins (for ref Amazon, Google and Microsoft launch in 10-20mins and use up to 20% more computing power to do so). They have an ex-Google employee within the board.
I'm tempted to put this to investor relations at Micro to see whether they are developing anything like it or are indeed using it. Oracle, Walmart, IBM, Verizon and O2 are all Beta applicants so it appears the interest is there.
Personally, I don't understand it enough yet to say whether I think this crosses over into Micro's arena and whether it will be a potential disruptor down the line, but i'd be interested to know if anyone else does. In terms of disruption, i'm sure this would only affect very long term holders of Micro....
Constructive thoughts people?
I couldn't agree more. It's seemingly always been played as this, and a 'UK' travel company at that! Approx 70%+ profits coming from abroad and a lot of that from 'required' public transport operations! It's almost laughable.....I believe 400 is a more than achievable target still (short to mid term)
Can’t say the results weren’t as expected, but still in a great position for a solid recovery albeit a little more delayed than I’d previously anticipated. Dividend guidance a bit open ended (upon stabilisation of aerospace sector), but hopefully 2H21/1H22........thoughts anyone?
There were a couple of 100k buys show up just after the close so fingers crossed they know something :-)
They may elude to it in the results tomorrow
FY results, isn't it?
Ignore that - it's just corrected to -4.01% :-(
Anyone got the L2 closing price on this yet? My IG chart is showing huge volume gone through at 4pm and a close of only -0.11% down for the day??
Does anyone know the rough split of revenue earned in GBP and USD?
The pound's been on a relentless march upwards against the dollar (8.2%) since early Nov so just wondering how much pressure this would put on the SP regardless of news/results etc?
US pre market +4%. Surely not another push up again today....?
It'd be nice
Opening volume even higher than going into the close yesterday!
Thought a retrace would be on the cards, but now thinking it will be a lot higher before doing so. Boom!
V4LU3 - I saw a comment on a board “MRGP partners with Amazon” and also “Kmart Australia“ before I went out earlier (referencing the US volume earlier). No idea what it referred to so trying to find out as we speak.....could just be rampy nonsense, but no doubt we’ll find out soon
Crikey. There was a trading halt in the US as it went up too quick!
What's the Amazon partnership news??
Guys, just use Stocktwits for up to the minute US prices (during market hours that is). They even give pre and post market rates too, but delayed.
That volume looks good. Perfect timing jumping aboard this earlier today ;-)
peterperfect - really glad I saw you reference to MCRO over on the NEX board. Nice to immediately be in the green!
As others say, never take advice from others to put money to work, but if they bring to your attention an idea, that you agree has legs, then the chatroom has been a great tool.......with tens of thousands of stocks out there, you need as many sets of eyes as possible looking out for bargains!
With this, NEX & MGGT all breaking out today, i'm well chuffed.
GLA
I always think of the term 'TINA' when pondering on the market reaching new highs and whether to get involved........'There Is No Alternative' to equities right now. Currency devaluation, no dollar carry trade, fixed income & dividends screwed for a while. Undervalued UK equities have huge upside potential, especially when Brexit is brushed aside and companies can get on with it. If management pull their finger out, this stock looks good for £10.
Big level of resistance being tested from back in May - a solid break through and they could easily become support in the coming weeks ahead!
Managed to get a reasonable entry point at midday today. Looking forward to see this turnaround plan unfold, hopefully with great results. Would be an immense ride if it does.
GLA!
Great.
Thanks AIM/Quin/Yourname/Peter for your responses, much appreciated - lots to look into and then make a decision!
Would love to of been onboard from mid Nov.....
Peterperfect,
I'm new to this share (uninvested as yet) and also reasonably invested in NEX too @ £1.15 (which I notice you also hold). It certainly looks like there is great potential here, but I'm not overly comfortable with purchasing after such a recent rise in the SP.
While I quickly do some DD myself, could answer a few initial questions as you seem well researched?
1. What was responsible for the huge spike in revenue in both the 16-17 & 17-18 periods? HP?
2. Likewise, for the 'return to trend' revenue drop in the 18-19 period?
3. Has there been any commentary on their IT system that was apparently 'not fit for purpose' after the HP acquisition? Has it been replaced/upgraded?
Hope you can throw some light on the above which may help me gather info quicker. With a big proportion of capital sitting on the sidelines at present this looks like it could be of great interest! The director buy-ins are also very encouraging.....
Thanks
Hi, Deanmck7
Yes, seemingly low interest from the PI's, but as you say, a solid company that appears to be well run and good headroom on their debt facilities. With aviation showing glimpses of light for their recovery in 2021 and an increased UK defence budget recently announced, I can't see why this won't continue to steadily improve.
Just listened to Emirates' CEO announcing the are to restart their big push on the premium economy service in 2021 with new aircraft being delivered now (they're obviously seeing light at the end of the tunnel!).
To be honest though, I'm expecting a retrace from these lofty levels, before the next drive up! Target around 530.
Good luck!
