332 is a huge level. Close above this and it does look good. Especially against the wider market that's a little under pressure this morning with the Evergrande theme creeping back into play......

You're right, but what it does mean is there is now a 'floor' being put under the share price at these levels. If it drifts lower, they will initiate the purchases (as with all buyback programs in slow market conditions)......all good if you've timed your entry below, what now seems to be the bottom ;-) Personally, I'd say a slow and steady climb from here on

The last disclosed change in AKO's position was on the 20th, before even the 'leak' had surfaced......hopefully they've been caught out by the news. But that said, they didn't reduce the short yesterday either. I'm assuming they initiated the short around the 1st Sept (when the SP confirmed it hadn't held), which is why they aggressively upped it through the 13th to the 20th. Maybe they are just waiting to see the market's reaction as to whether the SP will hold this new level before closing out....?

Yeah, I agree. I feel the bottom is in for this. Although its a big week for central bank rates and speak. Also the Evergrande issue holding markets back from the inevitable grind higher....TINA!

Swimming against the tide today though with the indexes getting beaten down.....this would of run up nicely otherwise. Very frustrating

Shapps just hinted at looser restrictions on travel......could be the catalyst we need. Fingers crossed for later this afternoon.

Exactly that, I feel we are only 'partly' connected to travel stocks and therefore more around in tandem, but not necessarily as high or low as they go. We need the next update to be reassuring and with positive numbers for the real upward boost. IMO

Just going to have to be patient still. I personally can't see this flying higher until the steady uptick in (US) covid deaths reverses.....however that might come about. Nex, for some reason, has always been seen as a travel company by the market so I see it trading in this kind of range until it is very clear that countries are fully opened up (for good). But, let's not forget, it hasn't done too badly since 70p ;-)

My divi was paid last week, but the auto re-invest (Halifax) has literally just gone through this morning. But no notification from the AJ Bell accounts for the auto invest as yet though.....

You can sell up now for market value, or wait for the deal to go through and get the extra 10%.......but with the inherent risk that the deal may collapse.

The company derives most of its profit from the US and they’re about to get ravaged by the Delta variant whilst the vaccination programme is faltering…….maybe because of that?

Exactly AK, a takeover in the coming 12 months, although likely at a very nice premium, could be considerably less than what this company could realise again in a few years.....I'm hoping they smash their 'turnaround' plan and once again become visible to the globe for all the right reason (not like the HP deal)...
