The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
They take on average 1 to 2 years to complete.
So we could be in limbo for some time here.
The SP will find a natural level in the meantime. Who knows what that will be.
They haven't got to be insolvent to enter a chapter 11.
September 22nd we will see what sort of cash they have. My guess is this was all planned well in advance.
Why do you have to have capital?
Everything runs normally until agreements are in place. Average takes about 1 to 2 years
Correct. Chapter 11 allows a company to function as normal.
Regal cost $3.4 bil in 2018. So the debt figure is some way below even that.
We could still get out of this with something.
@YodaDa1
"But shareholders will be wiped out."
Imagine that monty python Holy Grail scene where the black Knight is down to one leg. That's us LTH shareholders at the minute.
What difference will a little more wiping out make.
The wipe out is not certain, just likely
I wouldn't write it off out of hand. News is scarce.
We saw what happened when that reporter tweeted about the chapter 11 yesterday.
Share dropped 50%.
Now nobody is going to take any notice of people on here, but LSE helps the news spread, that I have no doubt.

They have a reputation to uphold.
In saying that, we know how this s*it works.
They are trying to make money like the rest of us.
Good info. Thanks

Been on here for years and put up with a lot of A-holes.
But just got fed up of the aimmaster.
Aims on filter, but if he's having a go at someone not turning up on here when it goes against them then he's having a laff.
That's not how meme stocks work
I agree with the part where Mookie could be about to offload Regal.
I think a "big player" with a funny looking mouse is about to aquire it.
They did actually close them but temporarily.
Something definately a bit iffy going on with this share.
Is Mooky leaking these?
It's certainly creating meme mentality.
This has just been announced. So what I take from it is they are raising cash for a buy.
Tentative I know. But for me a logical conclusion for Cineworld.
A very relevant movie to this SP.
CINE has given me sweaty palms for the past few years. But I did enjoy this movie even though I'm not great with heights
Strange post that.
Do you think anyone will fall for it?
Very informative interview about the current problems with gas.
I know it doesn't sound relevant to RR, but about 17 minutes in she explains how we get out of this situation we are in. SMR's
As a RR investor I'm feeling much happier.
