Why would anyone cancel an unlimited card?

Cineworld has no assets to liquidate. All it has is a normally profit making business.
Creditors will get nothing. Unless they carve a deal.

Another possible is they take this to a US market. Its been talked about before and will no doubt be preferred by whoever finances it.
Would make sense and the timing looks right.
Don't know what it would mean to LTH's but staying in for the ride.

@Cambridge you are making the assumption that all Cineworld holders are gamblers.
Most have probably given up on this stock, but can't be bothered to cash in their losses.

Nobody can sell or buy. So why would the broker demand the share be returned?

So from what I understand. If a company goes bust and you haven't closed a short. You have to wait a while. And pay interest while you wait.

I may be wrong, but never heard of an SP going to zero before. It's kind of an interesting subject though.

I doubt if any day trader would fancy a weekend in such a volitile share as this one.

You get the feeling they are going to let this run for a while. They have form.

Shares in Cineworld have dropped ever since they bought Regal. It was a reverse take-over and the debt attracted the shorters.
I think after that they became the most shorted company in the UK.

I'm sounding like a broken record here. But "Chapter 11" protects it against insolvency.
It buys it time. Something that Cineworld needs at the moment.

People have minds of their own. If they fancy a speculative punt that might pay off then that's upto them.
Obviously you shouldn't go mad. Treat it as what it is. A speculative gamble. You never know.
There's still a lot of unknowns with cine.
