Went to see Spiderman today in my local Cineworld. I'm in Wales so we now have restrictions again. But it was as full as it could have been in the Super Screen.
I'm surprised West Side Story has been classed a failure. Musicals tend to do well. That is next on my list, followed by Kingsman and Sing 2

The Matrix bombing is actually good news for cinema. It will put to bed any idea that streaming will take over from cinema in the near future.
I actually liked the Matrix 4. I watched an extremely good pirated rip in the comfort of my own home.
I could have gone to the cinema to watch it, but WB don't deserve that because of the stupid HBO deal they made.

I was expecting something different I won't lie.
But I did like it enough to watch it again. The second time was better.
The Matrix was a classic. A one off. But I will always be interested in anything that delves deeper into the Matrix universe.

Not sure on a firebreak/ mini lockdown.
It all depends if the NHS is getting mullered.
Early indications from omicron shows no sign that it increases hospitalizations in a large way.
Schools have finished up and many people are in a self imposed lockdown.
This might be enough to get through it. It might not. But at least the government is not being so gung-ho about locking us down.

This is down to pressure within his own party.
I really believe if he lock's down again he is finished.

There's a very interesting exchange on twitter between Fraser Nelson and Graham Medley {sage). Medley admits on there that the reason the covid models are so bad and inaccurate is because they are not predictions. They are what the government ask for and only ones that require decisions to be made.

This admission will put a massive amount pressure on government not to lock down now. They are NOT following the science.

We are vaccinated now. We shouldn't even be talking about locking down. But the NHS has the breaking strain of a kit kat and has to be protected.
We will move on eventually. Hospital cases in South Africa are giving data to be positive about. We need to know that the NHS can manage before we start living with covid.

Nice enthusiasm. I hope you are right but be aware that we are not used to people coming here and posting positive stuff.

I have just seen data from South Africa relating to deaths from omicron. The news is really good. Less than a quarter of the death rate in all age groups. It should also be noted that only 26% of population is vaccinated compared to 79% of UK.

I don't know enough about takeovers, but the maths are weird.
If Mooky were to buy it now it would cost less than the fine. I know it can't work in reality, but it really is messed up.

I'm going nowhere. In fact I'm trying to scrape some money to invest more here, but my whole portfolio is not doing so well at present. A lot of it is tech based unfortunately.
I'm 100% confident that, with this news and omicron, the only way is up for us now.
My only frustration is I cannot go heavy at this price.

We've been plan B in Wales since beginning of November.
We still do what we want. We just have to wear masks occasionally and show a vaccine passport now and again.

In Cineworld about to watch Ghostbusters Afterlife. Its close to being sold out. Just a few empty seats at the front.
