Rob, I never mentioned Nick Read & I am certainly not not praising him, why do you say that? I am saying that just sacking C.E.O.'s does not work. If they sack the current C.E.O. why will that work? Who will replace her? It's just knee jerk reaction.

i have had a look at his post on many u.k. shares, & i have never come accross anybody so anti u.k. in my life. o.k. so the u.k. is far from from perfect, but his hatred for the u.k. is crazy, or does he really think he can sway the market with his crazy anti u.k. posts? i think he is a nut case, on the edge, but i could be wrong?? anybody who uses the word dog****e to describe any company, is an idiot in my book. there are always more intelligant words to use!

danieln. i suspect that kay was joking, but i could point out that as h comes before n in the alphabet perhaps i should be asked 1st! but i think us daniels should stick together h or n so please don't feel like 2nd best? as for my 1st thoughts on robert grindle, they were, who the **** is robert grindle, & do i really care? after checking though i gather he is a top telco equity expert so if he wants the job, that is ok by me, but i doubt he does. mole might be available?!

Mole. Why do you think there are no debt free teleco's in the world? Telco's need gearing to survive, that's why. You odviously think you know better than all the telco's in world. Bee in the bonnet comes to mind. How can you possible assume the sp would be£3 if vod had never paid a divi,more bees in your bonet? & how can you assume vod charging lower tarrifs would be good for vods profits?. Vod needs to reduce it's deb't gradually, in a controlled way.

Mole. Vodafone is not a ponzi scheme. A classic ponzi is bitcoin which has no intrinsic value & pays no dividend & would not be able to borrow money tp pay one. Investors in bitcoin, are fools who invest thinking the price will rise so as to sell to a bigger fool (bigger fool theory). Obviosly vodafone has a value, makes profits & pays a divi. Of course you may be right pointing out that the divi is not covered by earnings, but no way is it a ponzi because it does not rely on future investors to pay the divi, that is paid from profits & borrowing, you may be right by saying vod is a bad investment due to paying a high divi instead of paying off deb't , but don't confuse the issue by calling it a ponzi.

Dave, As you say, the market hates vodafone, that is why the sp has done badly. She does not control the sp. Perhaps vod should have kept Nick Read, as clearly just changing the C.E.O. does not work!

Davef24. So what do you think she should do? Lie to all, & talk up the sp. Her job is not to talk up the sp. Her job is to run vodafone the best way she can, & be honest the shareholders.

Talatum. I am not that clever, that may be why I am losing money. I just dont don't come out with daft comments like, whatever I do, the opposite happens. If I thought that way I would not invest on the stock market. Good luck though, sounds like we both need it!
