Well I never thought I would find myself defending Savage, but to say his post is despicable is crazy. Be careful Savage, Big Brother is watching you. Do we really live in a nanny state.

L.T.I. Says, " If anybody thinks that if vodafone is overvalued they should not buy or sell if already a shareholder" That has to be the most ridiculous comment ever. If you think they are overvalued then sell, but of course you should not buy. Of course it depends by how much, 1p either way then ok hold, but much more then of course sell. L.T.I. is on another planet. not a clue. But it is a buy from me because I think they are??? over or under. What do think L.T.I. ? Tricky that one for you? Under or over? One day, you may get it?? Clue, undervalued buy, overvalued sell, Simple.

If I thought vodafone was overvalued, of course I would sell immediately, that is the blindingly obvious thing to do. But I will not be selling, I may even buy more in the new I.S.A. year, because I think they are undervalued. Surely this is all just basic common sense?

I am not against share buy backs if vod think it is a good thing to do, but they are not a one way bet as some on here seem to think. If they were then vod should stop paying off it's deb't, borrow more, stop paying a divi, & plough all that saved money into buying back shares. Of course that would not happen as there are pro's & con's of buying back shares. Yes you own a larger portion of vod, but vod has to pay to buy back it's own shares. This is not rocket science just old school common sense. A higher share price is what we need, simple, & the sooner the better.

Fleccy. Yes sorry I meant divi tax not stamp duty. Savage & L.T.I. are enough to confuse anybody. Of course you can save on stamp duty by not selling then buying back unless you need to for I.S.A. tax reasons. My point about stamp duty was that the U.S. don't pay, so that may favour the U.S. market. This is a point made by many investors/brokers who have been pushing for the abolition of U.K. stamp duty in the press recently.

Savage, Is there something wrong with you. I have never ever whinged about paying tax, so why do you make this up. I simply pointed out that you don't have to pay stamp duty if you are in an I.S.A. with no fees. End of. Goodbye & have a good day.

L.T.I. Yes the market cap would be less, so what. It is the share price that matters, not the market cap. A vod shareholder now owns a larger proportion of the reduced market cap, it balances out, so your comment is as pointless as always. I would give up if I were you. You are very boring, constantly repeating yourself. Let's just agree that we want the sp to rise & apart from you of course we all want to pay less tax. Perhaps we should call you Robin Hood.
