Macy. I think most intelligent people on here realise there are pro's & cons of share buy backs without having to read your suggestion, but thank you anyway. Buy backs depend on the company, so one size does not fit all. L.t.i. thinks anybody who does not go along with him is dumb. I think we all know the answer to that one. L.T.I. Vod bought back 5707176 shares average 121.26 per share on 3 sept 2021. Just look it up on here in the R.N.S. for that date. Not that hard is it. Try not being such a now it please without checking 1st. One day you might get it? But we are not holding our breath.

Savage. I am not against the current buy back of vod shares, but vod has lost a fortune buying back it's own shares in the past. A random example looking at historic vod R.N.S, is 3 sept 2021, vod bought back 5,707,176 shares at an average price of 121.26 per share, nearly 50p more than todays price. If you look back to when vod 1st started buying back shares you will not be impressed. However we all know vod has been a bad investment in the past, it is the future that counts, but please don't pretend buy backs have worked in the past, because they have not. Buy backs only work if the sp rises after the buy back. Just common sense. So let's just hope the sp rises, & soon.

Clearly there are some on here who can't come up with anything about vod themselves, so just want to have a go. I agree that politics has no place on this forum, but trying to predict the future share price does, & roofer does a good job of a light hearted weekly prophecy. It is just a bit of fun, so please stop complaining, & if you don't like it, just ignore, go away Friday to Monday & then come back & moan for the rest of the week if that is what turns you on!

Mole. What you mean by, when enough U.K. citizens vote for a change? They did vote for a change (not me) & got a Labour government. That hasn't worked has it. Who should they vote for?. You can't just vote for change. You can complain, but that does not work, does it? I would vote for the abolition of stamp duty which many finance experts are calling for as it puts the U.K. at a disadvantage to the U.S. who don't pay it. 0.5% may not seem much, but it is massive amount if you are day trading large amounts, so drives away large investors. Nick Leeson who was a very successful trader before he got very greedy & caused the collapse of Barings Bank, traded with margins far less that 0.5%.

So mole man. How do we stop these 300 to 500 benefit claimants turning up near Dover every day? do we just tell U.K. investors to invest elsewhere, or come up with something a bit more constructive? You love the U.K.?? It does not sound like it. This is the vod forum, not the anti U.K. forum.
