I wouldn't take anything seriously from someone who says, European companies need to hype there sp like there U.S. counterparts. If you buy shares on the us nasdaq, you face currency exch charges. Of course I don't agree with stamp duty, but we are stuck with it in the uk., & trading on the nasdaq from the uk, is not the answer. Spread betting is costly, & 80% approx of gamblers lose. qweqweqwe. Plus of course there are trading costs to day trading. You need to make at least 1/2 % on average profit a day just to break even. If you bought then sold a share every day over a year & the sp stayed the same, you would lose about 125% of your daily stake. 1/2% x 250 working days in the year. Of course unless you know it all??!! Ok, spread, cfd betting may cost less, but you will still lose ,unless you know more then the market does, & somehow,I don't think you do??!!

qweqweqwe. At risk of stating the blindingly obvious to your strange question, the answer is, because the share price may fall from the morning, when you buy, to the afternoon when you sell, as it has done many times?? Plus, I don't own a crystal ball, do you??

The latest motley fool says vodafone to sky rocket. I hope the fool is right, but why believe a fool, motley or otherwise. Of course I shouldn't bother reading there nonsense, but can't resist it sometimes. Good luck anyway, we sure need it.

Newbie, I think Motley Fools write these contentious articles to entice us to give them our e. mail address so they can advertise themselves. All the Motley fools seem to regularly disagree with each other, so best to ignore the fools. Of course however, vod's deb't is still of concern , but hopefully manageable.

Hi jack d. Although I was glad to see the back of LC on this site, I must confess to reading his posts on advfn. He is clearly a nut case, but not stupid & knows a thing or 2 about the stock market. So for me it's good to read his posts, without him calling me a telly tubby etc. He seems to be bullish about vod lately, which I find encouraging. What do you think?
