Hi robleo. Unfortunately I am not a lord or a god, I wish I was, but, just a mere mortal, the same as Nick Read, just not as wealthy & talented perhaps? Envy is a bad thing in my opinion, so I think we all should realise Nick Read is just human, & doing a job that if we were honest would love to have, as C.E.O. of vod. Not a bad earner? The whole point of a forum is for people to post, & others to respond if they so wish. If you don't like Nick Read, perhaps you should ignore him. He is person, who deserves some respect, not just envy. We know you don't like him, so you don't need to keep telling us. There may be are many reasons why vodafone has performed badly as you well know, If a plane crashes it is not always the pilots fault, there can be many reasons, & to sack the pilot when he trying to control the plane, is probably not a good idea. I realise you probably can't understand what I am saying, but I am at least trying to treat you like an intelligent person?

I used to have a Ford Anglia, & I think a mole-man's £140 full tanks worth would have lasted longer than my car did? Now though I have a sensible, cheap to run, get from a to b car. A Ford K.A. Hi mole-man. You say make sure you invest in solid well managed companies with a future, but how do you identify these companies? It's all down to your opinion, which may be right, or wrong? I think fleccy would describe vodafone as a solid well managed company with a future, bit I gather you wouldn't? You also say put your money in when the market obviously bottoms & turns, If it was that obvious then we would all be rich. It's a bit like saying make sure you back a winner?

fleccy. Now you really are worrying me when you say the price could fall to 90p, but it's meaningless to long term holders. I am a long term holder, but it certainly isn't meaningless to me. If the sp falls to 90p, there may be a good reason for the fall, divi cut perhaps? & there is no guarantee the sp will come back up again. When the sp was £2.40 & the divi was higher, the fall from there was not meaningless. Although I am a long term holder, I intend to sell at least some eventually, you can't take it with you! With respect, you do seem to have blind faith sometimes? But I hope your faith will come true?

I think it is time for my 19th nervous breakdown. Not looking good.

A lot of the vod sp fall on the nasdaq is down to the change in exchange rate. The vod nasdaq sp equates to l.s.e. price of £1.25. There however is normally about a -1.5p diff' so about £1.23.5. Same as todays close. Obviously though inflation & increase in % interest rates is bad news, so it could get a bit iffy? Sorry mole, if you find it all a bit boring though??!! Boo, hiss.
