The defence funding review was I thought due this week. Nothing announced.

Now the talk is mid June with comments that even with a moderate to good increase in funding it will still be insufficient to avoid a cut back in defence spending in some areas.

We may be able to recover to the 12 month high with a govt announcement as well though!

Today we see a raised price for the shares and a Bunch recommendation.

Way undervalued if the brokers are right!

Hopefully if we get the Defence funding statement from the PM this week the sector might get second wind.

Despite NAV well ahead of current share price market seems unimpressed with these results.

Yes indeed. Presumably we don’t know value of the contract as it’s market sensitive ?

Securing a couple more longer term contracts May revitalise this share in a sector which should be doing better than most!

Didn’t AFC supply energy for some world wide car rally events a few years ago?

Dare I ask if they have any involvement with JCB? Would be a better partner than Speedyhire!

The loss was a bit bigger than I anticipated but they seem confident with bookings recently increasing that full year forecasts remain on track.

Later bookings becoming more common and provided the PM debacle calms down consumers will be looking to get their summer hols somewhere I think.

Any publicity is good for this company. We have got a long way to climb to recover losses for early investors.

I was unable to attend the AGM last week. Was there a hint of today’s news mentioned at that event?

This news is what we need to get further revenue and the company name in the press.

Hopefully we see some more of this if and when we get the Defence spending review from the Govt.

Taking a bit of a bashing recently despite new contracts and being in defence sector which is not wholly based on UK .

Even a takeover prospect subject to relevant clearance.

So are shares expensive, being manipulated or just subject to profit taking from early investors?

More like 17 years!

Been invested in AFC from pre Bond days.Patiently waiting for the company to sell something. Thought the building site replacement of diesel generators was going to be make some money and whilst now post Bond we are still waiting fo r something significant .

Having got bored watching and waiting at AFC I put a modest sum in ITM before the big announcements there which has now recovered my current long term loss on AFC.

The recent improvement in AFC share price is welcome but how much of it is based on the ground swell behind ITM etc rather than fundamentals at AFC?

Is their time coming too?

Deep Valecha? Who are they and what they want with a 4% holding?

A thoughtful and thorough assessment of GPE.

The continued wide discount to net asset value could attract a takeover or at least a share buy back strategy.

The quality of its property portfolio and top name tenants should command a better valuation than what we are seeing here.
