We are due some TR1’s there have been 4 big buys this week totalling 21.34% of the shares in issue. We only have TR1’s covering a maximum of 11.43%.

2,720,000 @ ? *Not seen as a trade but has to have happened to get JD to there current 21.34%.

Agreed fantastic posts, now we just need the pi's selling to take note.

This is probably all part of the plan, once they are clear the fun really begins!

I don't believe these are real sells, in my opinion this is a friendly ii selling to a friendly mm who is filling an order for JD. Doing it this way to spook a few pi's along the way.

What uncertainty?

It’s pretty clear we have a major player wanting a major stake, and they are willing to pay a minimum of 75p a share to get it. The already small free float is going to disappear, and you think this means the sp will drop? Come on admit it you want a cheaper entry point.

What would the RNS say that hasn’t already been said?

If FIL purchased there holding off Hargreaves we should really have had a TR1. Beside that fact Hargreaves have/had just under 8m shares, FIL only ever had just under 6m. So Hargreaves have a potential 2m shares still?

I’m looking forward to watching that free float get squeezed.

There is no think about it, he cannot.

Between the family and JD 84% of the shares are not available to buy, and that figure is only going to get higher as JD hoover up more shares. Our free float will be tiny!

I’m slightly surprised the board have not gone defence and added to there own holdings, but I suppose they don’t have to when collectively they control 63%.

Pentland own 57% ish of JD so they basically control the shares that are in JD's name.

These ii's have held and I cannot see TR1's showing them selling, they could be due today / tomorrow then we should get a clearer picture of the free float, it could be even smaller than we think!

He sold maybe £11k's worth before Christmas, he still holds almost £2m worth...pretty sure that doesnt mean he is wanting to sell the rest.

Next move for JD is to buy as much as they can on the open market, whilst at the same time keeping a cap on the price..how will they do that ;)

GL Babbler, I dont expect they will lower the offer to 45p as they will be hit with more buys...but you never can tell these days.
