Like most non--exec chairpersons and directors, they are in it for the money - as a pension additive! They will take on 50+ directorships if they are able. They just make up the gender/colour/religious diversity, and I can't think what else is their true function. Spare me the words compliance and governance! They are not expected to make any decisions, but just to acquiesce to whatever the employed board says. Money for old rope... It's about time people are paid on merit and merit alone.

DireE - Hannam is commissioned and paid for by HUR. Wouldn't trust it an inch, but good luck to you, if you believe it. They have NEVER been right on HUR.
