You a bargain if you bought at 31/32p in April 2014 because the
SP never dropped below 180p in that month ( see 10 year ITV share chart)
No, it will not drop back to 32p whenever that was!
From the 20 year chart it looks like the SP was in the 30s in 2002

With a multitude of FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies down
20-30% the rebound, when it comes, will be savage.
ITV down around 15% in past 2 weeks on very subdued volumes.
We may have further to go in this correction but pessimism is overdone imho
Dividend Yield now c 5.6% in ITV

Directors in a closed period with the Quarterly update due
in 2 weeks.
The crushed share price may, however, tempt a predator.
Keep the faith as this market correction will pass

Fully agree with you on Goldman/Liberty
They can do anything with the ITV share price
5 million shares dealt so far and SP down 6p albeit ex div day
I have a large holding here and intend to hold
However, it would be nice to see a bounce today although
WPP and market turbulence not helping

ITV Share price near 5 year lows today.
Any offer near £2 would be accepted by most
long-suffering shareholders.
The miserable 2.6p dividend was submerged by 5p drop
Now is the best chance of a predatory move imho.

Carnage a bit strong but a large number of FTSE stocks
now down 20% or more in past few weeks eg Ashtead,
DCC, Glencore, Melrose, Computacenter, CRH, Inchcape
Just Eat, Ryanair, Vodafone etc plus many more in FTSE 250
And do not mention AIM !

The share price in January 2016 was 275p

Today is 153p a decline of 44% during a bull market
Despite special dividends, this is a shambles.

McCall is wasting her time here
Sell the whole thing with a great content library and good
studios and a declining TV audience while the big boys are in the frame
Should be worth north of 200p
The time is now with no growth in TV advertising

ITV has been a perennial takeover target for years but no sign
of anyone moving as yet.
However consolidation is increasing in the media/content space
of late and following the sale of Skye to Comcast I feel ITV is vulnerable
particularly at a valuation of just over £6b.
The value of it's content library is not on it's Balance Sheet and could be
as much as £5/6b given the value of $2b that Entertainment One placed on it's
content library as as 31st March 2018.

As the share price drifts to near 5-year lows--- it was 275p in January 2016
Mc Call refusing to comment on whether ITV would be better off as part of a larger
company does not reflect the sentiment of many long-suffering shareholders
who would jump at a bid of over £2
She needs to perform in the short term if ITV is to remain independent.
I feel that time is not her ally in this regard imho.

To balance the Northern Ireland argument I think Sinn Fein are
a bunch of dangerous lunatics as well.
The point about the DUP is that it wants to be British but without
affording the Northern Irish people the rights and freedoms enshrined in the rest
of the UK where, by and large, people are decent and tolerant.
Even though it clings to the Union Jack it does not agree with the values held
the rest of the UK .
And by the way thanks for the £13b a year --it beats working!

The DUP are against same-sex marriage, abortion, gay wedding cakes, Catholics,Anglicans,
non-Christian religions, immigration ( even though most educated Northern Irish are
heading to the Republic, UK or the US) BUT don't mind a bit of corruption and taking
the UK's £ 13b a year to keep the illusion of being a part of the UK alive.

The EU was conceived as a construct to end centuries of war and mass
slaughter in Europe and to be a bulwark against fascist/communist nationalism
It is not a perfect alliance of nations and the economic crash has exposed faultlines
However, it's social, economic and human rights achievements are in stark contrast

The lies and madness that the British people have had to put up with is best illustrated

1 UK Exports to Ireland (2017) amounted to £34b with a trade surplus in favour of the
UK of £13b with a total surplus over the past 10 years in excess of £ 100b

2 UK Exports to China (2017) amounted to £ 22b with a trade DEFICIT of £ 23b
with an accumulated trade deficit over the past 10 years in excess of £ 200b

Ireland is the UK'S closest neighbour and ally while China a totalitarian state that has closed markets is 7,200 miles away.
The Brexit debate never mentions the real figures and the potential horrors of a hard border in Ireland.
The Northern Irish voted 56% to 44% to remain in the EU but the DUP a minority party composed
of looney fascist Christian fundamentalists is the only voice the Tories are listening to in the Irish border
debate because these crazies hold the balance of power,
Don't blame the EU or Ireland for the Brexit shambles while the real culprits are in clear view.

and if a Pharma knocks on the door we could see a surge in the SP

I stand corrected---£2m invested which leaves cash at
c£ 6-6.5m currently
However, the cash investment in Incanthera may be offset in part by sale of Ureka
In any event the current net asset value( cash, Incanthera , Ureka) implies little or no value
to Lupuzor which is the main point of contention and debate here.

We have not invested in Incanthera as yet but when we do
we will hold a quoted security which can be turned into cash ( hopefully)
If we sell Ureka by the time we invest in Incanthera then the overall cash figure
could change
So at the moment I feel the cash position should be of the order of £ 8/8.5m
