I scratch my head in disbelief as the V price rockets and the SP drifts. I'm used to the market marking shares like Carival and the airlines up or down depending on oil price fluctuations and cannot believe they don't attach value when the value of a primary product is soaring. Unbelievable. ( shakes head sadly)

Anyone else bow beginning to wonder if there has been a link between the low analyst targets and the quick disposal of shares by apparently committed long term IIs? Clearly, if you keep broker targets low, your mates are more likely to be able to get into the placing at a bigger discount .....
Or am I just over suspicious...ř

Yep. It's really really starting to irritate me big time. You begin to wonder what WILL actually take us up to the next level. V prices up a load and increased ownership through Sojitz buyout .....and we're still down ...driving me crackers.
And don't get me started on the wait for the Mokopane licence .

BBN. Whilst I tend to agree with you, FM is a very canny strategist. If I was trying to buy a brownfield site as cheaply as I could, I woukd be making the seller aware that I was actively pursuing a green field development and/or partner for ore-offtake. I wouldn't want the seller thinking they had an asset that was essential to me.

I tend to agree with the use of the word curious though. I don't think Lemur sits well with the BE aspect of the business. I'd like it spun off or sold on.

Alfa. That's a good idea too. I love the thought that we as investors could show some interest in the local community . Would help foster good industrial relations potentially and show that we're not just asset strippers...!

Nice idea. But I wonder if there is an equivalent community project in S.A. we might collectively donate to. FM very likely to want to be aligned to that. Any one with links out there??

LIONEL. I'm only learning from Alfa. But I suspect it's because they are in a position working between them to try to short the share. They know they have a supply of cheap shares coming. They can go short and then have the security of knowing they cannot lose. For one MM to do it all would be too obvious and insider trading. So they muddy the waters with a second MM involved.

Nice research Alfa. I don't understand one thing though: if MMs are now long, why would they want to keep SP under control. Surely they'd want it to fly - although there might be more rises to come with results , most of them seem to have a want-it-now approach.so why wouldn't they just let it go as they are long now?7
