At the risk of sniping comments from Sanchez and others, have you seen confirmation from the company that the issue of poor grades that was at least partly responsible for the fall in output earlier this year has been fully resolved? If they have confirmed this, sorry, I missed it. I hope the estimates of 725 are correct, but the scale of the fall in the last results was larger than would have been predicted purely from the strike. I know Ophidian expressed interest in the reasons behind the grades being poor.

Well, I confess to being absolutely stunned that we've had not a single piece of significant news since the Sojitz buyout was RNSd in early September. (I'm excluding the BE update as I don't think that added much in the way of hard fact). It's beyond me _ and on top of that it seems like Alphas tame seller had a very very large number of shares to dispose of as the downward effect on the SP has been significant now. I thought the 30s were long gone. Bit disappointing to see them again.

So, there are rules regulating AIM.....who knew?? You'd never have guessed from the way the MMs deceive and obfuscate.......

He can't arbitrarily hold back good news.

Confess I have. I'm emotionally worn out waiting for the Mokopone news. Can't think of anything I've waited so long for with greater expectation.....

@WJ. The market size for BMN is only 30000 . A while ago in a flurry of activity it was increased temporarily to 50000 I think but is now back down. Anyone who understands the markets better than me able to advise if this is of significance Here?

Can anyone explain what the point is then if it doesnt mean IIs buy in and the trading is no different. Are there any tangible advantages to us.

Couldn't agree more. Especially as I don't think the issue of the poor grades impacting on production was fully resolved. (Could be wrong there and if so someone will correct me)

Change of Accounting Reference Date

 

Bushveld Minerals Limited (AIM: BMN), is an integrated vanadium producer with additional investments in coal, power and tin, announces that it has agreed to change its accounting reference date, with immediate effect, from 28 February to 31 December in order to align the Company's accounting reference date with that of Strategic Minerals Corporation Limited and its subsidiaries including Bushveld Vametco Alloys (Pty) Ltd.

Consequently, the Company will prepare audited accounts for the period from 01 March 2017 ending 31 December 2017. These accounts will be notified to the market and posted to shareholders by 30 June 2018

Daisan. I get that. I know our V is lowest quartile. But the production of electrolyte adds another layer of cost which still needs to be competitive.
The environmental impact document makes interesting reading - good spot Afric. I hadn't seen this although dated June.

Interesting how differently people see this RNS. I think its a bit sgort on hard facts. Had hoped there would be some meat on the bones of the proposals. E.g. How can Fortune be clear our electrolyte cost will be lowest quartile. The market wont add anything for this at the moment in my view and BE will remain unvalued for the time being.

Alfa. Exactly. And why do you think they've been confident enough to try a short of this size? Could it be that they think BMN will not adequately deliver on the promised timetable of news?

No surprise the SP is slipping a little. It could be argued that the last significant news was the Sojitz buy out on 13 September. None of the streams of news we expect have been forthcoming......YET!

If the reported trades are to be believed (see Alfa analysis later) it seems the walk down merely stimulated more buying as a sea of blue.

I agree Ludeck. I think the Mokopone licence has exerted a considerable drag on the rest of the business planning. I am not sure I see it being resolved quickly as Fortune has clearly been wring footed too - he would not have used the word imminent if he had not believed it to be the case. When the licence is granted, I think there will be some very well put together plans with joint working on BE, brownfield etc etc. When that happens (?Q1 2019) I think we'll all be saying boom.
Naturally , hope I'm wrong and it's later this week after all.....!!

Well, I really hope this IS the week that things start to be explained in formal terms. I thought one of the big items would already have been confirmed if I'm honest.
