Hospitals will always need an independent back up because the guy in the digger down the road wrecks the cable supply on a regular basis....true.

The back up diesel generator at my hospital occupies a space very similar to a shipping container. Directly comparable with the size of VRFB needed to keep emergency systems powered.

I know he holds the Prince Philip Chair.....perhaps enough said. I also found the GWPF link. Just astonishing that he is apparently mainstream academia and so ignorant of a rapidly emerging technology.

Astonishing letter in The Times today saying that battery technology to run at even moderate scale 10 years away. Disappointing as it is from a professor of Technology. My email to him below:

Dear Prof Kelly. I read your letter in The Times with incredulity. Gridscale battery technology  10 years away? Have you discounted VRFB ( Vanadium Redox Flow Battery) technology. It is here and now and will be powering communities from renewable sources in the next 2 to 3 years maximum. South Africa are testing them currently in BESS systems with their national provider ESKOM.

Small dividend for me. I understand the criticality of funding our development, but a dividend would get us noticed in more ways than one. And I've already waited 6 years......I'd rather like an income stream and not just a juicy legacy to my children however nice that is!

Knuttie, even with my new optimist hat on , the director support through share purchases has been a notable area of inactivity at a time when the retrace makes investing here attractive. Perhaps they could all buy some!

Pat. I think the vast vast majority of LTHs here are stunned, disappointed and frustrated by the SP. Most specified dates in 2019 where it was expected the SP would reach 100p . The market doesn't see it like that. Quite why, I dont know.
I have begun to wonder if the 76 % holding by PIs actually holds this back. There is nothing for IIs to really get hold of and no "Iscratch your back- youscratchmine" reciprocity from MMs to their II buddies. So, it's going to take more time. I think Alfa pointed out that this is not actually a true market or even a market at all as there are so few who know or partly understand what is going on here. Simply not enough to create a market, so it defies and ignores the logic of fabulous financial RNSs and transformative news. At some point that will change.

But; couldn't you say that as they have to sell a large chunk for what we all believe is a tame seller, that doing it this way ie offloading into strength prevents the SP sustaining larger short term falls? So, you might argue that a large disposal is being worked sympathetically.

Tremendously exciting. Whilst the tight current deadline provides major challenges (has anyone confirmation that formal construction of electrolyte plant has statrted after EIA approval) cannot see another provider apart from BMN who can step up to deliver this. Indeed, the deadline plays into BEs hands as no- one else in SA is as far down the process of large scale battery manufacture ( of whatever type) as BE and BMN. And no one else benefits the local economy to the degree that BMN BE would. Almost appears a shoo-in!

So, the only conclusion is that the MMs still have a ready supply of cheap shares - aka the "tame seller". I can't see how it works otherwise. You mop up shares and go long , then flatten the price by dropping a large sell in . Anyone else got a better theory ?

Agree in general. The bit I cant fathom is that this deal has little ( nothing?) That could derail it now. It has approval. The funding is largely from cash generated in the V spike. Why is the market not pricing at least some of that in as a done deal.

Pdub; you are applying logic to an AIM share. I get that. Some of us think the market might respond illogically. Actually, I really hope you are right. But fear you'll be wrong!

Personally I'm with Steve. The market attributes little value to the traditional side of the business at these V prices. Its BE news that we need and it's been very quiet. Like everyone else, I thought 2019 would be amazing for us. Looks like 2020-21 now.
