People should also check that chart with ma5k's previous BMN chart and they can see that the movement between the two did not reflect the suggested paths. As I have said previously, these are guides not tablets of stone and the position changes all the time. You could have seen on the latest one (if it wasn't deleted!) that the 'Doom if Broken' trend line was actually broken decisively in September. Guess what. It wasn't doom and the share price is double what it was then.

Two points to consider. Firstly, TA is a tool like any other. Secondly, don't report everything that doesn't agree with your world view!

What happened to the 'downside risk' thread? I can't see why that would be deleted even though there were a couple of mistakes in the interpretation in my opinion (which is unusual for ma5k).

TA is really just a way of codifying sentiment and, as such, works much better for situations where there are large volumes associated with crowd behaviour. It is NOT an exact science (if it can be described as such) and anyone who gives opinions as facts on this is fooling themselves as well as others (there are some that do so).

In my opinion it is less effective for thinly traded shares (many on AIM being obvious examples) and is frequently trumped by news in those shares. I believe it can be very effective for understanding price movements for entry/exit points for markets such as gold and other commodities as well as broader market indices.

There is as much evidence for this as for the original suggestion.

There is absolutely NO basis for the original comment. It has so many 'ifs', 'buts' and 'maybes' that it is impossible to make any rational comment on. Let's deal with facts as a basis for speculation.

For me the answer is clear - they do not want to crash the share price which does no good for anyone including them.

Well, we are not certain who the seller is (although we can hazard a guess) so it is difficult to say when they will be done. Clearly they don't want to trash the share price but that just means that it is long and drawn out! I am sure that a 'transformational' piece of news such as Mokopane, brownfield, something else would create enough volume to allow the seller to exit completely. I confess that the communication is the area that irritates me the most about BMN. They are far too inconsistent and, to some extent, secretive for my liking. Of all the companies I follow they are the tardiest with quarterly reporting.

The same share price movements every day. Initial move up or down followed by the inevitable dip, bottoming for a chunk of the day before the afternoon rise and end of day tail off.

I agree that the upward pressure on price should increase after the Chinese New Year. However, it is probably a bit too early to suggest that the price has bottomed and turned the corner yet. I would like to see a bit more evidence before concluding that this isn't he case. I believe that there is a strong argument to suggest that 2019 will once again see considerably higher Vanadium prices.

Whenever FM has a high profile presentation there is always speculation that there must be significant news to take into it - a guaranteed marketing opportunity! We haven't seen this up to now so I am not sure that this will be the case this time around. However, we are pretty much guaranteed news this time around as he is committed to quarterly updating. Being late with it would seem churlish.

They released separate quarterly updates in 2017 as well (although, like most things in the world that is BMN, somewhat inconsistently) and yet the Q4 update was all in one. I just simply follow the logical progression.

The number of companies you see on AIM waiting for licences is great indeed. The licence is out of their hands so I wouldn't waste too much time and effort considering it. When it comes, it comes. The sad thing is that Baroi is probably one of the most interesting prospects. Still, there should be plenty of other things to occupy us before Baroi is explored.

I hesitate to second guess BMN as things seem to change a lot but last year's Q4 report was on 22nd January and contained all of the various constituent parts (rather than a separate report for each) including EBITDA figures. More of the same tomorrow?

That is certainly closer to my estimate faramog. I would be happy if they sold it for that.

I would be firmly against buying more ATM. It would essentially be unwinding the strategy and what is required now is a focus on Vanadium. Any excess funds should be returned to shareholders rather than be used to buy stakes in legacy companies. Should those shareholders wish to buy ATM shares with the funds returned that is entirely their prerogative. I actually believe that there is zero chance that BMN will buy more ATM shares.

The 40p trade is intriguing and not the first such trade we have had (there have been several recently and there may have been others previously that I just haven't noticed). Such a low number of shares would not have commanded such a low price and yet it did. The selling weight did not appear enormous at that point either to justify the price.

I have seen discussions about TA 'spoofing' for lack of a better word where trades are placed to influence the conclusions that can be drawn from TA. Some exponents will not be drawn by these types of trades whereas there are certainly others who will rigorously include them in their analysis. It may be that this is an example of such a trade. Whatever it is, the trade appears anomalous.
